My Good Lord Jesus, please surround my Mom and her friends with a hedge of protection and shelter them from the storm. Provide them (and me) with your perfect peace. Although it is a mighty storm, one wave of your hand would still the waters and calm the wind. Be their protector and may they shelter beneath your wing. In Jesus mighty name I pray. Amen.

For what my two cents are worth, I think Frances will continue to weaken to a category two hurricane and take on a more northerly trek toward Jacksonville and Georgia.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the technology to detect such storms long before they can impact human life and property. Thank You for the care and concern displayed by all who read this thread and pray. Forgive us any impediments, any trespasses against You, and allow our prayers to come into Your presence.

Father, I saw You today in the heart of this storm. I watched You tear it apart with Your hands before it made landfall. It may have been wishful thinking on my part, but this is an easy job for You.

So many of our loved ones and friends are in the path of Frances, Father...and we are only in the beginnings of hurricane season, with a long series of depressions already forming in Africa! Merciful Father, spread Your cloak as an umbrella over all those in the path of this terrific storm. Take care of all those dear to us, and the multitudes unknown to us. Ease traffic congestion, give travelers the comfort and rest they need. Let each find shelter, just as Mary did when it was her time to be delivered of our Lord. Strengthen walls, secure roofs, allow drinking water and electricity to remain intact, cheer and comfort the hearts of those afraid...especially those who are alone, ill or elderly.

In every way, Dearest Father, take care of all in need. I ask these things in the precious name of Your Son...Amen!

Many here who are prayer warriors & have been praying that our Awesome Merciful turn this Hurricane back out to the Atlantic stall and die there.I believe as believers we the authority in the name of Jesus (who was our example) to rebuke the elements and to stand in the gap for our world.May the mighty hand of God cover the Atlantic seaboard and become a restrainig force against powers set in motion to kill rob steal and destroy!It is in the name of Jesus I pray----With Gods Love to all in Florida,my daughter Amanda,son(in-law)Billy,grandaughters,Colleen and Rhema Grace
