Mel probably left for / decided to stay in Fla. It wouldn't look good for him to be making speeches "safe" in NYC while Florida was looking down the barrel of Frances.

It's subliminable.

I'm so tired of these mediots. I just want to squash them all under the biggest landslide in American history, and have them all go off to Vermont to marry each other and collect sap for the rest of their meaningless lives.

Yes, that will work, I'm all better now. My husband though he was going to have to scrape me off the ceiling.

He did his 'walk through' behind a lectern, but there's none there now.

My stomach has so many butterflies in it that I feel like I'M the one that has to give a speech tonight!

Some comic relief

Every Convention brings its share of colorfully-clad delegates. Here are some photos of a particularly spirited Washington state delegate, and an Alternate honoring the founder of our party:

Don't even think about it, OXEN.It's making me nervous too. They did have a podium up there earlier when GW was testing the mike. BTW, Poppy said he is tired of this "most important speech of his life" stuff. Glad someone finally said it.

Are they building to saying that the RNC replicated the pile of rubble that appeared to have hundreds of material fall in the shape of a cross? Maybe I shouldn't give them ideas. Next they'll be accusing Bush of having staged that rubble to advance Zionism in the country.

I always find it uh..interesting...when they freak out about God and symbols of his presence.

Trivia: a speaker stands ON a podium, BEHIND a lectern.

Remember Latin: pod (or ped) is a root for foot (podiatry, pedestrian), lect is a root for read (lecture, lexicon).
