A respected Iranian ex-patriot, Dr. Ahura Pirouz Khaleghi Yazdi, hosts a news program on a southern California based Iranian satellite broadcasting station (Rangarang TV, which means colorful), has recently announced he is returning to Iran to serve as a catalyst for a regime change in Iran no later than that date.
He claims to have the support of leaders inside the Iranian government and military institutions and has booked several chartered aircraft for his return to Iran with his supporters on or before that date.
Dr. Yazdi is a highly respected Iranian Zoroastrian, but a return to Iran without massive public support and protection would surely end in his immediate arrest. This move on his part is one of the boldest of any Iranian ex-patriot in recent memory.
Very little has been published on his efforts in the media and while it is hard to believe that he has sufficient support inside of Iran to protect him, still he is the first such Iranian to make such a bold challenge to the regime.
We need to watch for the reaction of Iranians inside of Iran to this ongoing story.

I don't know what Yazdi's plan is but it better be a good one and it better not be some bs lowsy plan - because this is very very dangerous what he is speaking of. I hope and pray that the f*ing regime is gone by Oct 1st, but I don;t know what he plans to do when he flies into Iran and is confronted by some Hezbollah fanatics hired by Mullah -
Of course if the Iranian people are aware of soem sort of secret plan and covert actions to take down the regime - and Yazdi's action is just one part of the overall strategy - then hell yes, go for it and take the bastards OUT!!!!

Sounds like 3 possible scenarios:
1) The regime could deny him entry into Iran
2)They could arrest him when he steps off the plane
3)They could wait to see who he meets with, and then arrest all of them.
Sure wish he would wait until Jan 21, 2005.

But to think that he mullahs are going to give up their lives and you know that will be the second thing they give up after their jobs, makes Mr. Yazdi’s home coming at best a media event. That itself is good, but at what cost, martyrdom? There has been too many. Refocusing world attention could get lost in the talk of how naïve this move is. Good luck and I hope you really know something that escapes most of us.
