This is a move used to try and disarm the SBVT and stop the next round of ads. He is going to use this phone call to try and "reach out" and admit he is "sorry" and he may have been "mistaken" and the willing media will tout the line "See, he's apologized. Can't we move on?" and any other ads will be seen as piling on. Expect some sort of "apology" to be coming soon.

You heard it here first.

Nah, he has a history (see my previous posts that illustrate just a smidgeon) of trying to strong arm people into joining his side.

Some do.

Most don't.

That's what this was.

Again.

Well it does seem like the ONLY next resort.

It's not gonna work. There's something in my heart that remains pure and naive. That part of my heart tells me that the American people, hell even the lamestream media, are going to know it's all too much.

First, he lambastes the Swift Vets, sending out attack dogs such as the mayor of San Francisco-no less and expert than this- to implicate the swifties are liars.

Then he demands that book stores not stock the book and that publisher not print the book.

Then he blames the whole thing on President Bush.

His apology will be viewed by the public as being Kerry's last resort and meaningless in that he never would have made it if he weren't backed against the wall.

The behavior Kerry exhibited before his apology, assuming it happens, was too damn mean and that naive part of my heart believes that no one will ever except it.

Nor should they.

You can believe that Hill, Carville and Ickes are burning up the conferance call wires with a desperation. This implosion of fake Kerry's campaign has got to be dealt with.

That naive and pure part of my heart is open to a dim hope that the Dems might learn a lesson from all of this and quit trying to foist fake, cowardly, lying candidates on the American public. Maybe the Dems will learn that more people in American have a voice than ever in the past. These voices are going to insist on decent, no not perfect, but decent, candidates for President.

Don't believe it for a minute. Even that pure and naive part of my heart ain't that dumb. So long as Hillary breathes this will never happen.

Perchance to dream.

'...and the willing media will tout the line "See, he's apologized. Can't we move on?" '

Move on to what? To concentrate on the people he victimized and their families? To his senate record, which is just an extension of the same pattern of his loathing of all things US military? Sure, I'm willing to move on to those two things. The swifties are too, thus the content of the second ad.
