Not a chance. His only chance for power is his cosial communist friends and he can't risk ticking them off. Not to mention he's got such a heroism fetish and has invested so much of his own psychological resources over the years into his Hero persona that he'll crack if he admits that he helped cause the deaths and suffering of a few million people. He came as close to an apology as he's going to get when he said his remarks may have been over the top.
