This was on the national news. When the Democrat's do it we always find out 2 or 3 weeks later. I heard it on 770 WABC news.
So companies should be able to fire people according to their political believes?

So companies should be able to fire people according to their political believes? No, they should be fired for misuse of a client gift. The politics isn't an issue. As I posted above, if a client gave tickets to a sporting event and an employee misbehaved in a very public and inappropriate way, that employee would have a problem.

Apparently you've never been involved with a business that relied on clients or sales or profits or barter. This has nothing to do with politics...it has to do with business.
No business will allow its employees to insult the clients. Use your brain.

So companies should be able to fire people according to their political believes?NO, for misbehaving at the client's event.
If I go to a clients picnic and grab the client's wife by the ass, the client's ofended and my boss should fire me.
Grabing an ass or being an ass, do it on your own reputation, not as a representative of others.

This had nothing to do with political beliefs! It was his boorish behavior while using tickets provided by a client of his company.

"So companies should be able to fire people according to their political believes?"They should be able to fire them because their socks don't match or because they're Yankee fans or because their last name starts with "C."

So companies should be able to fire people according to their political believes? No, but certainly on the nature of their behavior. The man heckled the President and humiliated his companies client while he represented his own company.
It would be akin to going to a business dinner with that same client and starting a fist fight with the waiter or along those lines.
Would you bring that man out to dinner again or trust him with your revenue base?
On the other hand, if the man had come across the tickets on his own, it would be a different subject. In that even I would agree with you. I can see your point it that was truly the case, but it wasn't.
