XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX THU AUG 19, 2004 17:45:25 ET XXXXX
EMPIRE STRIKES BACK AGAINST ANTI-KERRY VETS
More than 3 weeks after the DRUDGE REPORT began shooting up flares warning of an impending campaign battle surrounding former Vietnam veterans who would not support John Kerry for president -- the media empire strikes back!
In a series of world exclusives begging in late July, this space outlined and detailed the coming book UNFIT FOR COMMAND -- a book which now sits at the top of the charts -- and the top of Friday's NY TIMES.
TIMES editor Bill Keller has reserved the lead of Page One for "the story of how swift boat veterans with a grievance were found by Republicans looking to tarnish Kerry's image," newsroom sources tell DRUDGE.
"A modern day tale of the creation of a political attack machine," declares TIMES reporter Jim Ruttenburg.
The TIMES plans to piggyback on comments made by John Kerry on Thursday against allegations that he exaggerated his combat record in Vietnam.
Kerry accused President Bush of using a Republican front group "to do his dirty work."
"Some of the veterans have recanted their stories and made charges that military records prove untrue," the TIMES explains in its 3,500-world splash, which has been previewed by DRUDGE.
Impacting late Thursday.
Um, uh, wait I know this one. Give me a minute. Oh yes now I remember. I would have done what Bush did only I have better hair and therefore France would have helped more.
The Times is, in its own way, as aristocratic and full of a phony sense of noblesse oblige as John Kerry. They deserve each other in defeat. Congressman Billybob

BBBWWWWAAAAHHHHAAA !!!! Think again, guys...and thanks.
If McCain ever gets the GOP nomination, I'll stay home. And I'll get lots of satisfaction watchign the Left destroy him. He labors under the illusion that the Left would roll over and cheer his candidacy. If God forbid he gets the nom, I hope he gets the cold truth right in the kisser.
Have you noticed one gaping hole?
Something they won't talk about, becausse it's big?
C-A-M-B-O-D-I-A
That Empire in the form of the Washington Post, according to John O'Neill appearing on Hannity and Combs, declined an invitation to meet with the Swift boat vets who were inWashington, DC two days before the Washington Post story was released.
Why would a reporter working for the Washington Post and working on a major story about them decline to meet with them two days before he went to press with his article?
The charge needs to be addressed by the reporter for the Washington Post, "Reporter" Dobbs, if anything Dobbs has written is to be believed.
This is not journalism.
Great! Perfect!
Dirty Work? This from a man who allowed Michael Moore to sit in a position of honor next to that twit Jimmy Carter? Kerry has so many people doing his dirty work, he's lost track. But Al, Howard, Teddy, Michael Moore and the entire looney left aren't US veterans who served this country.
I wonder how many people believe him.
They need to be humbled over thier assertion that "some have recanted" their story. That is factually not correct.
The Boston paper fabricated that story.
Time to go after the NYT for repeating blatant fabrications.
The SwiftVets new ad is coming out tomorrow.
The NYT is late for the rave. Hey, NYT, yoohoo! The dance is over here now.
Absolutely, the Swifties should say Cambodia CONSTANLY. That's the way to go. I would make Kerry pay for his bs offensive today-- I hope tommorow's new Swifty ad features Kerry's Cambodia lie PROMINENTLY.
"The Post's Ombudsman, Michael Getler, is the readers' representative within the newspaper. E-mail him at ombudsman@washpost.com or call 202-334-7582."
CAMBODIA
Furthermore, just who would have been interviewed for the facts about this nefarious coming together? Bet anonymous and some say and sources say comes up a lot.
Everyone expects the NYSlimes to lie about everything so no one will take any of their spin too seriously.
Not bad... not bad at all!!!
