Kerry Said to Have Many Ties to Royalty

Mon Aug 16, 8:21 PM ET

LONDON - Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) has blue blood from all the royal houses of Europe, with even more titled relations than President Bush (news - web sites), Burke's Peerage said Monday.

Burke's Peerage, which researches genealogy, said the Democratic presidential candidate traces descent through his mother, Rosemary Forbes, to the royal houses of Albania, England, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Byzantium, Persia (Iran) and France.

Forbes was descended from William Forbes, the Laird of Newe, an extended family that included many baronets, Burke's Peerage said.

"It is via this family that the Democratic candidate is descended from Henry II, the king of England and father of Richard the Lionheart, who was leader of the third Crusade in 1189," the Peerage said.

By contrast, Bush is related to Queen Elizabeth II (news - web sites), 20 British dukes and many European princes, it said.

The U.S.-based MyFamily.com, which published British census records from 1841 to 1901 on the Internet, had found that President Bush, Princess Diana and Winston Churchill are distantly related and can trace their ancestry to the 15th century English squire Henry Spencer of Badby, Northamptonshire, who lived between 1420-1478.

We're all descended from Adam and Eve. One's family history may be interesting, but it is of little or no value in determining who would be a good President - or for that matter, who would be a good ditch digger. In short, who gives a rat's arse!

The Laird of Newe? That is too good. If you ask me the title is hereditary. I think that should be JK's new moniker.

Wasn't America founded to get away from those people?

Yes his ancestors are many British Knights; SIR-LOINSTEAK, SIR-CUMFRENCE and SIR-CUMCISED. He lied about the others.

That makes a big difference to some people. Kennedy worshippers still refer to "Camelot" and "America's royal family". We don't have one.

Too bad for Kerry our President has just as much royal blood. So too bad, Senator. Why can't the newspeople report real stories?

Bush beats Gore in 'blue blood' stakes

LONDON - If royal genes have anything to do with electoral success, then Republican US presidential candidate George W Bush will be the next man in the White House, Britain's blue blood bible said yesterday (Tues 17 oct).

Burke's Peerage, a revered guide to the breeding of the aristocracy, said both Bush and his rival Al Gore are of royal descent, but investigations deep into their heritage show Bush has far more noble and royal connections.

Bush is closely related to every European monarch on and off the throne - including the King of Albania - and has kinship with every member of Britain's royal family, the House of Windsor.

He is a 13th cousin of Britain's Queen Mother, and of her daughter Queen Elizabeth and is a 13th cousin once removed of the heir to the throne, Prince Charles.

Bush's family tree can be documented as far back as the early 15th century.

He has a direct descent from Henry III and from Henry VIII's sister Mary Tudor, who was also the wife of Louis XI of France.

He is also descended from Charles II of England.

Here's my idea. We get some of those brain scanners, and we install them over the voting booths. If the brain scanner detects that anyone is voting for any candidate... Bush, Kerry, or anyone else... on the basis of how many royal bloodlines they have, then a trap door opens up and they drop into a tank of sharks.

No. That's Juan Carlos. He's the Spanish King

Another case of John Kerry being confused about who he is.
