George and Laura Bush to be on with Larry King for the full hour tonight. I don't usually watch LKL because of his lame questions. But it should be interesting.
Argh...seperation of Church and State it doesn't exist in the Constitution!
"She just said it's hard for her to stay civil when people are ugly about politics. She has a little bit of Barbara's feistyness in her."
Oh, she is justly feisty when the occasional call for it. I watched "Journey's With George" recently. That's the documentary made by Alexi Pelosi, daughter of the House Minority Leader, Miss San Fran Man. She and a couple reporters put in their digs buy overall relatively fair.
But when Pelosi took a poll of fellow journalist traveling with the Bush-Cheney campaign asking who they thought would win the election, the result was lopsided for Gore. The results made the papers so that when Laura, on the bus, is leaving with W, she turns to Pelosi some ten feet away, gives a sharp look and says, to the effect of..."Alexi, we're going to have to have a little talk." She said it with a smile but her look was like millions of sons and daughters have received from a gracious but firm mother.
Go see or buy the film. That moment is priceless!
LK: You don't see this as Christians against the world?
GWB: No, I see this about freedom.
OK, LK, playing the religion card. No mention of Kerry pandering to cultural groups from the pulpit almost every Sunday morning.
Good, solid answers by both President Bush and Laura.
"So you don't see this as Christianity against the world?"
GEEEEZE who came up with these STUPID questions. Oh yeah, CNN.....
Prairie
Oh oh...somebody's cell phone went off.
Was that a cell phone going off? Larry's in trouble.
I just want to see this again.
A wonderful statement that will be misconstrued by the lame-stream media tomorrow.
Did a cell phone just go off during the interview??
Hey King, Do you have a problem with Christians?!
I may not be the best Christian out there.....but I will defend the right of Christians everywhere. We have a right...no matter where we are at ....to talk about God.
King must be part of the crowd that thinks every group has freedom of speech....every group but Christians.
King is a liberal who thinks everybody should blast Christians....and Christians should have no voice.
He is always treated hostily by the arrogant assholes who think they know more and better than him.
I would love to allow him to have a pleasant experience on TV.....
larry kind is a complete assholer....I never watch him and will never watch him again unless GWB is on.
Can you spell d-i-c-k-h-e-a-d
Great description of that movie.
The president is doing well on the gay marriage issue and he's certainly been supported by the California Supreme Court today!
No, that's the Kerry campaign, they want to get a question in just like George S. did in 92 against his father, "mysteriously"..yeah right.
I have this fantasy.
It's Monday night at the GOP convention. Laura's scheduled to speak. When her time comes, the video screen comes up and reveals she's in Afghanistan...surrounded by smiling Afghan women and children!
She then flies back to the U.S. to be in her skybox for her husband's speech Thursday night. It would be a knockout!
People not courts! George and Laura are taking King to school.
Larry: Does your faith come to the office?
Bush: No, I only think of it at home in bed. To even think of it in the 'office' would be to impose my religion on the country.
LK is an idiot looking for a gotchya moment but the President obviously believes everyone is entitled to an answer to their questions, regardless of their agendas.
This (traditional marriage) ought to be decided by the people.
The people ought to be involved in this (marriage) decision...and not courts! Yeah yeah yeah!
