Did this character EVER once state that he is of Muslim heritage and is, himself, a Muslim?

This is important in today's world, hiding it sends a message FAR SCARIER than is the fact that he is a Muslim.

If he is, he needs to speak to specific Islamic practices, how he feels about them, and he needs to speak to the Christians and Jewish in this nation, stating publically whether or not he sees them as infidels.

I've read that he is unitarian, not muslim. If true, his name is immaterial; it just shows what his father was, which is not binding on him.
