ASA HUTCHINSON conducted a so called Pen & Pad discussion on immigration policy issues this morning (12:30 back east time). We called in and put marks on paper. We got in late but it appears that Asa and the boys at Department of Homeland Security have decided that letting captured illegals other than Mexicans go free while awaiting deportation hearings hasn?t worked. Out of about 42 thousand OTM captured, some 28 thousand were let go after promising to show up for a court hearing?90% of those were no shows.

It is cause for concern when Department of Immigration mentality seems to be "it's always been that way..." Times have changed. Illegals flipping off our immigration system should have no rights at all - none, nada, zero! The hard-nosed treatment illegals deserve undoubtedly won't happen until we are attacked again. with our government and our politicians, change is way too slow and funds for necessary projects (for instance, the Michigan cameras needed to patrol the borders) when it comes to protecting the very country and citizens they are formed to govern.
