This is very probably the USAF who will be flying "high cover" for the various events next week. They're in all likelihood getting the lay of the land and plotting various routes and flying times. Especially inasmuch that there seems to be some significant (this via Mossad1967) anxiety that overseas aircraft might be hijacked for an attack.

In WV, the opposite seems to be true. Isolated rural areas are getting all kinds of toys from Robert C Byrd's pork barrel goodie bag. I know one should never say never because terrorist threats can occur anywhere, but the dollars should be put to use where the threat of terroism is the greatest.
