Credit: The Cabal The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger. "Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix." We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research. With the nation on high alert for al-Qaida terrorists, the Department of Homeland Security is putting its border officers through "etiquette" classes to soften their image and make them less threatening to arriving foreign immigrants, WorldNetDaily has learned. |

NOTE:

The cause of the new blast had not been determined.
Bombs Target U.N. Afghan Election Office
{Get Ready People}
A series of bombs went off at a U.N. voter registration office in western Afghanistan (search), injuring six policemen, setting vehicles ablaze and shattering windows, police and the United Nations (search) said Friday. It was the latest in a string of attacks targeting election workers.
The blasts occurred late Thursday at a voter registration site in Farah City, near the border with Iran and about 465 miles southwest of the capital, Kabul, said Mohammed Rasool Khan, the deputy police chief for the province.

Awesome post. Thanks for that analysis. Oil could touch $50 as early as today.
It seems to me if we are not prepared to eradicate a nuclear Middle East (excluding Israel), then we are looking at a potential geo-political chessboard comprising the United States, China, Iran, and North Korea (and to a lesser extent, Russia and the U.K.). Israel, at that point, would have to depend on M.A.D. as their only umbrella against a rain of missiles coming from Tehran.
That said, contemplating a long-range nuclear Iran brings an even greater urgency to the matters at hand. Should a pre-emptive strike take place against, say, a carrier group in the Gulf, our government would surely have to respond conventionally. Tehran, I believe, would cling precariously to M.A.D. since a flattened capital does nothing to advance the cause of Islam - especially Shiite Islam, which is not exactly a bell ringer for pan-Islamic jihad. The al Qaeda Wahabbi variety seems much more capable of uniting the Arabs against the West.
If we back down from Iran, we will follow the blueprint in the Korean Peninsula, which, for the lack of China's presence, would have likely already resulted in some kind of N. Korean attack on the South (likely WMD). That scenario is still very much in play, and with the United States shifting troops out of that theatre, it seems to be a ringing endorsement of Li'l Kim's lunacy and burning desire to punish Seoul. Without digressing too much further, let me just say that I think the United States will act quickly to relieve Li'l Kim of his existence before his submarines can be outfitted with U.S.-range WMD. Politics after a while becomes nothing but window dressing. At some point, the powers that be will resort to instinct (we pray), where survival becomes the only goal. There is no risk too great when dealing with a rabid dog like Kim, who has repeatedly threaten the destruction of Seattle and L.A. by nuclear force.
In summary, it's my opinion that we are clearly in the nascent stages of World War III. Unless the regimes in N. Korea, Tehran, and Syria are overturned and al Qaeda is legitimately crippled, there is only one course when it comes to this rogue's gallery of Madmen: Bloody conflict.
Have a nice day everyone!

Crops sprayed with chemical, killed
Associated Press
August 20, 2004
LaPORTE-- A farmer lost eight acres of corn valued at $30,000 after someone filled a crop sprayer with weed killer instead of insecticide.
"It couldn't have been accidental or a mistake. It was obviously done purposefully by someone," Mike Garwood said Thursday.
Police said Garwood noticed the crop appeared unhealthy on Aug. 12, shortly after it was sprayed. By Saturday, all eight acres of corn on the parcel at Garwood Orchards had turned brown.
Garwood told police he suspected a disgruntled former employee poured herbicide into the sprayer's tank after being fired. Another worker who later sprayed the crop did not realize that the tank contained the wrong chemical.
"It took us about a week to notice it," said Garwood.
Garwood said the two gallons of weed killer in the tank was enough to kill about 25 percent of the corn planted on the farm about 30 miles west of South Bend.

"...the conflict with Islamic extremism will continue to spiral without a fundamental rethink of US priorities in Iraq and a relationship with Israel that "drains resources, earns Muslim hatred and serves no vital US national interest".
It seems that Mike Scheuer, senior intelligence office at the CIA just doesn't get the fact that Islam wants to wipe all infadels off the face of the planet. How can someone who is in charge of the "Bin Laden Issue Station" still be buying into the PC crapola about Islam being a "religion of peace".
The fact that we exist as a free society, with religious freedom is the reason that the islamists want to kill us now, and will always want to terrorize and kill us. It does not matter one iota that we have an alliance with Israel, it just makes the islamists job much more difficult. If we were to cut all ties with Israel and the Islamics were to take over the land and people in Israel.....guess what the U.S. would be next!!! So our ties with Israel make no difference, it is just another excuse that the Islamics use to bolster their hatred against us.
The scary part is that Mr. Scheuer and those like him who are in charge of helping gather intelligence and protecting the U.S., are still playing the blame game...with the U.S. as the main source of their blame...once again the enemy within.
From the article:
at least 160 of the 650 detainees being held in Guantanamo, Cuba, are from Saudi Arabia. That's almost a quarter of those picked up in Afghanistan and Iraq during the active phase of the conflicts in those two nations.
They do not include the Saudis who, immediately following 9-11, were allowed to be flown out of the US, even when all other aircraft were grounded.
That permission was granted by none other than Richard Clarke, the former staff member of the National Security Council who then wrote a book that criticized the Bush administration for its presumed failures.
Slowly, the American public has become aware that the greatest source of the Third Great Jihad occurring around the world is none other than the House of Saud. The paradox of this will keep future historians writing books for decades to come.
It has been the Saudis and their extreme form of Islam, Wahhabism that has funded madrasses and mosques all around the world to teach and preach the supremacy of Islam and its goal to be the single religion for the entire world.
