My goodness, what will Teri H. have to say about this?
Truth is not the enemy.
You meant to say 1968?
I read about that earlier. Nixon was not inaugurated yet in Dec 68, but he could have still said those words.
Thanks for copying the BG article here- it is liable to vanish.
Great point about the Khmer Rouge's existence and location.
Even a Clintonian sociopath can't wiggle out of this (he said hopefully), and Kerry's no Clinton.
he was on leave in France.....
I like Col. North, but he is not viewed as either objective or honest by anyone to the left of center. And, as for his following...I would wager the vast majority of them already oppose Kerry.
Thanks for the ping and the facts! :-)
The last thing our country needs is yet another incompetent, lightweight, democrat in the white house.
What advertising are you referring to? Do you suggest that this is a campaign strategy by the RNC or what? Perhaps you don't believe that a group of vets could simply step forward to express their opinions because of their concerns about their country which they laid their lives on the line to defend. Who pays for this "advertising"?
maybe he was there in spirit...
If your assessment were correct, the Kerry camp wouldn't be going after TV stations threatening libel.
This one is beginning to stick, and they know it.
This isn't an affair like Gen Flowers, it's wholesale resume-padding at best and unpatriotic betrayal at worst. People don't like that.
Of course we could always go back to the bunny suit. That was pretty effective too.
I had a Moose once that preferred Camenbert to Cambodia. But that was when he was in the shower.
you're missing the point - he has claimed, over the years, that an evil Republican president sent him to Cambodia at the height (low) of his four month tour of combat duty in Vietnam and the president (at that time, whomever) lied about the fact he was there. He's said this experience was "seared into" his soul. Now he either admits that Nixon wasn't president then, in which case the whole base upon which his history of political posturing has been based, is removed. Otherwise he tries to obfuscate and say that it was beloved liberal hero LBJ who was the dastardly one who lied and so molded him. In any event it bears prudence to the fact the whole story is a LIE and it's underpinning all his other claims which then crash like a house of cards on any subsequent scrutiny.
They did -- it is here
The "J" and the "F" are real, it is "Kerry" that is faked. It's his irish name. Actually it was his grandfather that dropped original Jewish family name for an Irish name.
