Whatever you usually think of him, tune into Savage live now!
He's spending the show (again) on getting the swiftboat vets story out there. His guest will be, for the second time, the machine gunner who served with John Kerry on his boat. Steve Gardner, I believe is his name.
Also, Savage is expressing his disappointment with Fox News, specifically O'Reilly, for spiking this story and essentially calling the veterans liars. Savage says it's because O'Reilly wants to get John Kerry on his show.

Well the swifties story is making more sense. They say there was no hostile fire in the third purple heart action. So Kerry used his own self inflicted injury covered buy the confusion of the mine explosion to claim he was injured. This Gardner guy is good. He is very credible IMO.

Seriously, when I heard Laura Ingraham doing a Cortislim ad, I almost wept.

It appears gardner is correct, you dont recieve the PH for self inflicted wounds:
"[Cleland] didn't step on a land mine. He wasn't wounded in a firefight. He couldn't blame the Viet Cong or friendly fire. The Silver Star and Bronze Star medals he received only embarrassed him. He was no hero. He blew himself up." (Baltimore Sun, Oct. 24, 1999)

There are 2 different Vet groups who are opposing Kerry.
One is the Swift boat group. The other may be the SBV for Truth group.
[I still haven't heard a valid listing of who all those 'crew' were on stage with Kerry at the Convention. Did they all actually serve with him? They don't seem to be identified individually anywhere that I've seen.]

(After 20 years in the Senate, all Kerry has to run on is 4 months of service in Viet Nam.)

I, too, often weep when I think of Laura Ingraham, although for entirely different reasons.

RE: Kerry's "Christmas in Cambodia" Gardner says they were never IN Cambodia. Not even within 50 miles of Cambodia. He said Kerry never thought anyone would delve into this.
