I just saw Shep Smith on Fox, talking about the Swift Vets, and saying "hardly any of these guys actually served with Kerry, I mean they were in the same war..." He also has "experts" on the pro-Kerry side and no one on the other side...what's going on with Fox on this issue???
Normal Abnormal, Fox would be better without him. Seems he is only there for the f*ghags.
Shep,
It is not reporting to accept the word of a political hack rather than the word of veterans who served at the same time in the same place on the same missions as John Kerry. Any reasonable search could provide you with plenty of eye-witness testimony that contradicts the claims of both Senator Kerry and the few veterans who support him.
Mere common sense should inform you that Kerry's history is one of telling lies to further his personal ambitions. His "war crimes" testimony before Congress is available for all to see and should prompt serious inquiry rather than blanket acceptance of what he and Democrat spokesmen say is the "truth."
Reporting consists of finding and telling the truth. You did neither. You are better than that.
I saw this as well and was somewhat dissapointed BUT the more controversy this ad generates the more this Ad gets shown. Not entirely a bad thing is it?
O'Reilly has a major chip on his shoulder. He can't make it threw his radio show without bad mouthing other radio host. It is right wing radio this right wing radio that every 5 minutes. Who is looking out for you? Oh come on! Bla bla bla..... I have listened to other radio hosts shows. Bill's show is one of the worst show out there. I don't know why he just didn't stick to tv. Guess he found a way to suck more money out of some marks.
Time for Freepers to start a boycott of Fox News and their advertisers until they return to Fair and Balanced. I have had all of Fox News I can take -- Smith has tipped the scale. I refuse to watch CNN and MSNBC so I get my news from the radio and the Internet.
From her FOX News bio
-- Snip --
and the first woman to head a national presidential campaign (Dukakis)
Do I need to say more?
ALL of you people hand-ringing and whining "woe is me" have to KNOCK IT OFF! [verbal bea-otch slap]
You whiners sound like agit-prop to me. Either that or you are EXTREMELY naive. All that kind of talk does is discourage people, ala Fonda.
Rush Limbaugh by himself has been refuting the media lies about the swiftvets as fast as they can tell them. For the people who don't listen to him, it's up to us to talk to everyone we know, friends, co-workers, family, neighbors, church members, EVERYBODY, and expose the shameless propaganda of the media. That's been our responsibility all along anyway.
When people see the ads, get the book, go to the website and see all the information, the truth will be obvious.
I'll modify a statement by Spurgeon: "I would defend the truth like I would defend a lion...open the cage and let it out."
We don't need to defend the truth. It defends itself. All we need to do is tell it.
Unfortunately they don't have to convince the military men to win, they just have to convince the leftist ninnies.
I'm about to boycott, because Fox costs me about $30 a month since it's about the only premium channel I watch. I subscribed before Iraq, wanted to be in the SitRoom and see what was going on. Then it was a novelty, now I'm about sick of it. I'm moving in a couple of months and money is going to be tight. I can promise I will be unsubscribed from Fox by the election.
I think it has to do with all the criticism that's been lobbed in their direction lately.
I thought they were doing fine the way they were, but they do seem to be going harder on the anti-Kerry people appearing on the network than they did in the past.
IMO:-)
Count me in -- I very seldom watch him anyways. I just removed Fox News from my remote!
Don't really want to defend Shep here but he does throw out loaded softball questions for his guest to hit out of the park.
And they need to check out the facts before they shoot off their mouth
It was obvious from what Shep said .. he didn't have a clue on the facts
I was a dyed in the wool O'Reilly fan but in the last 2 months or so he seems to be going soft on liberal interviews.
On the issue of the Swift boat ad I couldn't believde my ears at the discourse between O'Reilly and Dick Morris.
O'Reilly thought the ad was sooooooo wronggggggggggg!
I believe these swift boat men are telling the truth and O'reilly can jump in a lake.
He's crazy and looking to get more libs on his show or he's just gone stupid.
He made his stripes by beating the other liberal networks with hard hitting views, now he 's throwing softballs.
I have started skipping his show on a regular basis.
Starting with Chris Wallace, Fox seems to be going to the left just like ABC,CNS and NBC.
Have I already had one too many Friday afternoon cocktails or do I remember correctly something about Rupert Murdock supporting AlGore and the Rats against President Bush?
Good letter Pup
What makes you think Fox News not being watched is going to make the RATs win? That logic escapes me. Rush has more listeners to his radio program than watch Fox News.
Coming up soon on THE BIG STORY: Newt Gingrich will talk about the Swifties and their ad.
I always change the channel when S.S. is on. He bores me, and he's always over the top.
Just remember that those who accuse the president of having been AWOL never served in the Military
Thanks for the heads up
