What are you going to do if Bush backs Keyes' campaign? It's pretty dang sad that we don't know if he would.
To: Byron_the_Aussie
Oh, they do. I think you're right --- they would actually prefer that --- it's like we're in the Twilight Zone --- Hillary/Obama --- the democrats must be thrilled.

Contrary to popular forumlore, I don't hold grudges; hell, I can hardly remember from thread to thread who I post to........LOL. LOL
Naw, everybody who's been on this forum at all knows you're just too sharp for most of them. :)

And then pick his teeth with Alan's bones.

I would love to get a peak at his SATs and LSATS. I'm betting neither one of us would have had a chance at Harvard law or gotten onto law review in his shoes. I, for one, certainly hope we don't go down that path of criticism. Criticism of the direction he intends to take America should be sufficient.

And you're right, no matter what happens, we'll be seeing Obama in politics for the next 30 or so years. Barring the meteor scenario, of course. His wife's not bad looking.

Nailed in one,100% on all accounts.

"Ignorant," is not a label I'd put on Keyes lightly.Me neither, but I hope he believes in the Separation of Ketchup and Hotdog.

Ill. IS a lost cause, but I still think that California is in play. Maybe if only citizens voted, but we all know that the Dems will make sure that a lot of "undocumented immigrants" will vote.

I didn't know Obama grew up in Hawaii.
So it's not like Keyes is running against a 5th generation native.
But still, Keyes will have a heck of a time getting past the "He's not one of us crowd." He'll get the far right vote and probably those who voted for him for president, but I expect this to be a Durbin/Durkin or a Lenin/Rocky type of race. I really hope I am wrong.

The only subtlety is that we hate Hillary, and like Keyes.Wrong. There is no subtlety and the difference is all the difference in the world for reasons I've already stated. Hillary represents evil. Keyes does not.

I'm with you.
I said so when Keyes was first proposed a few days ago.

Since when does a candidate like Obama (who apparently would not even support a state version of the born infants alive act) have more of a right to serve in the Senate (even in Illinois) than a man who believes in God's word? When the people of the Lincoln State vote him in, that's when.

My head reels at his/her explanation.
Some nonsense just can't be adequately refuted.

Contrary to popular forumlore, I don't hold grudges; hell, I can hardly remember from thread to thread who I post to........LOL. Same here. I can't remember who agrees or disagrees with me on a particular topic...or who has be nasty or nice to me thread to thread in the past.
There are far too many Freepers to keep track of.
So in the end I just respond based on the merit of each post. I think that's fair.
