.....just be forewarned, I heard some nutcases out of NY yesterday on WBAI who intends to volunteer for a lot of Republican stuff and "not show up" to help at the last minute.....trying to throw a monkey wrench in any fundraisings I was kinda shocked to think that people would actually stoop so low as to do such a thing. I also saw on the news last night that Police are expecting to arrest at least 1000 people a day in NYC during the convention. It's nice to see that there were only 6 people arrested in Boston during the Dum-a-crap convention. It seems us conservatives are too darned nice...and polite, ha, ha, ha....

Gee, that'll show us. Volunteer and then don't show up. Maybe they'll even send us some pizzas that we didn't order.

well, it might be an inconvenience....but the lady was laughing a giddy laugh when she told the radio host that they had a whole slew of dirty tricks up their sleeve, to disrupt the function.
Like I said, why not just let the Pubs campaign in peace....it seems to me that would be the right thing to do in a democracy.

"Some things we need to do just for our own mental health!"

That's the idea. The important thing is that we're out here in Connecticut doing what we can. The month of August is going to be the turning of the tide in this election. It doesn't matter what state you're in, it's just important now to get some energy going on the ground... and it's refreshing to.

Gee those people from NY will miss out on all the free beer, loose women and hundred dollar bill handouts!

I live in Stamford and volunteered 4 years ago during primaries.

I had a lot of people yell at me.

Great! We'd love to have as many as possible. We can form our own Freeper support group for those of us who feel isolated in a sea of liberalism!

My wife and I will try to find somewhere to park the kids for a couple of hours. We're 3 minutes away from the Norwalk Inn up by Wolfpit School.

"Is Bush showing strength in Connecticut?"

Not any more than you might think. But as I said earlier, I really think that no bounce for Kerry before Bush's month of August might signal the turning of the tide in this race. Even though CT is no battleground we have an active campaign here and we are going to do our best to run a campaign no matter if the odds are not with us. We're Bush fans working in this campaign, same as anywhere else in this country. Getting out there and letting people know that its OK to support the President is a good first step.
