To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger. "Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix." Here's a reassuring story:
Cargo Handlers Arrested In JFK Thefts
Aug 5, 2004 6:49 am US/Eastern
(1010 WINS) NEW YORK Five cargo handlers have been charged with stealing watches, perfume, pens and hundreds of mini liquor bottles from a duty-free retail company at Kennedy Airport, Queens prosecutors said.
The items, valued at $20,000, included mini bottles of scotch, rum and cognac and were intended for sale to first-class passengers on international flights, the office of Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Wednesday.
The suspects, who all worked for Sky Chef, Inc., took the goods from a storage warehouse for Retail Services Inc. at the airport and intended to resell them to neighborhood delis and other stores, prosecutors said.
Sky Chef, a subcontractor for air contractors that serve the airport, assembles duty-free products sold by Retail Services and loads the merchandise onto airplanes.

What is a manpad?
What the heck are manpads?
What are manpads?
I just looked it up - it's surface to air missile
Either actual or relative time would be devastating.
Sorry I wasn't checking back to answer, yes, you found out.
Thanks!
I think you're right. They were termed "killer" long ago, can't remember the story now, but it's not an appropriate name for them.
Don't know enough about them to know what they feed on though. But it seems they're just in the wrong place, and it's causing some comment.
I was wondering the same thing.
OTOH, one will frequently find (dot) Indians talking to each other in fractured English.
If one is sufficiently bold and curious enough to ask then why, it's because they are from different areas of India, and their regional languages/dialects are so different that they can't understand each other!
English might be the common meeting ground for speakers of arabic, Urdu, Pushtu, Farsi...

MISSILE FOUND
DANIEL J. SERNOVITZ , Staff Writer 08/05/2004
LANSDALE The police department set up barricades around its parking lot Wednesday evening and evacuated Borough Hall where council was scheduled to meet 15 minutes later after discovering that a missile in the back seat of a car was pointed straight at the building.
Officers from the Montgomery County Sheriffs Departments bomb squad determined shortly before 9 p.m. that the missile was inert and posed no risk to the public.
We had a gentleman pull into the parking lot in a Buick LeSabre and in the back of his car is what appears to be an explosive ordinance a missile Police Chief Joseph McGuriman said. Under the circumstances in this day and age you have to take things like this seriously.
Police evacuated Borough Hall shortly before Borough Councils 8 p.m. meeting interrupting two separate council committee meetings being held at the time after the device arrived in the back seat of the LeSabre which was driven into the combined parking lot of Borough Hall and the Police Department by Lansdale resident Mark Shotwell.
Shotwell who was not taken into custody or suspected of wrongdoing in the event was driving south on the Pennsylvania Turnpike earlier in the evening when he pulled over for a moments rest and found the object.
I was traveling back from Wilkes Barre and I pulled over to the side of the road to take a leak Shotwell said. I didnt realize it was real until I got it here.
Shotwell said he found the device which he initially thought was just a toy leaning up against a trash can on the turnpike not far from the Allentown exit.
He drove the remaining 45 minutes back home and showed the item to his father a retired officer with the United States Air Force.
Shotwell said his father told him what he had and advised him to report the item directly to the police department.
I was a little shaky he said. I was handling the thing playing with it like a toy.
The object weighed about 5 pounds and was about 2 feet long. The object resembled a surface-to-air missile.
The police department immediately notified the countys bomb squad and also called for assistance from the Fairmount Fire Company. The streets surrounding Borough Hall were blocked off and onlookers were kept about two blocks from the scene.
The bomb squad arrived at the scene at about 8:30 p.m. and after taking X-rays of the device determined it was not live.
McGuriman said the U.S. Department of Defense is scheduled to pick up the item on Thursday to investigate.
The Sheriffs Department has informed us that the Department of Defense will come by tomorrow to pick it up McGuriman said on Wednesday. Theyre going to identify the object what it is and where it came from.
Borough Council relocated its meeting to the Lansdale Public Library.

Two Terror Suspects Are Arrested in Albany, New York, CBS Says
Aug. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Two men were arrested early today during a raid on a mosque in Albany, New York, on suspicions that they were planning to buy shoulder-launched surface-to-air missiles, CBS News reported on its Web site.
U.S. agents and police officers arrested Yassim Muhhidin Aref, who is imam of the Majid Al Salam mosque, and Mohammed Mosharref Hoosain, founder of the mosque, CBS said. The men are suspected of having ties to the Iraqi terrorist group Ansar al Islam, CBS said.
The arrests may have been ordered because one of the men bought an airplane ticket, CBS said. The men allegedly sought help from a confidential informant and were seeking funds to buy the shoulder-launched missiles, CBS said.
They wait until there are no witnesses...
