A new film set for release from PARAMOUNT has raised the pop culture threat levels at the White House -- a film which mocks the war on terror and media urgency using puppets, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
"I really do not think terrorism is funny, and I would suggest PARAMOUNT give respect to those fighting and sacrificing to keep America safe," a senior Bush adviser told the DRUDGE REPORT this weekend.
The new fuss film TEAM AMERICA, set for release two weeks before the November presidential election, is entering post-production from with SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone
A deep voice using serious tones opens the film's teaser: "We live in a time of unparalleled danger. Weapons of Mass Destruction are being offered to terrorists all over the world. Global chaos is about to consume every country on Earth. And there is only one hope for humanity."
The senior Bush adviser, who asked not to be named, fumed after seeing the movie's official website and trailer.
"This is just unconscionable. Not funny. And I believe it makes fun of everyone in law enforcement... and in the armed services who work tirelessly to keep us safe from harm."
Marionette puppets are used throughout the film to mock terror threats, and media figures who dominate the nation's airwaves.
I have to admit I've watched South Park and know zero about it or it's producers so I'll take your word that these guys are good Pubbies.
I guess Drudge changed the article? A bit different from the original posted on the thread:

WHITE HOUSE ANGER AT HOLLYWOOD ELECTION SURPRISE: PARAMOUNT PUPPET MOVIE TO MOCK TERROR WAR
**Exclusive**
A new film set for release from PARAMOUNT has raised the pop culture threat levels at the White House -- a film which lampoons the war on terror [and media urgency] using puppets, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
"I really do not think terrorism is funny, and I would suggest PARAMOUNT give respect to those fighting and sacrificing to keep America safe," a senior Bush adviser told the DRUDGE REPORT this weekend.
The new fuss film TEAM AMERICA, set for release two weeks before the November presidential election, is entering post-production with SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
A deep voice using serious tones opens the film's teaser: "We live in a time of unparalleled danger. Weapons of Mass Destruction are being offered to terrorists all over the world. Global chaos is about to consume every country on Earth. And there is only one hope for humanity."
The movie's official poster features an apparent Bush look-a-like [strings attached] with his back to the viewer.
The senior White House adviser, who asked not to be named, fumed after seeing the movie's website and trailer.
"This is just unconscionable. Not funny..."
Marionette puppets are used throughout the film to mock terror threats, and media figures who dominate the nation's airwaves. But Parker and Stone save most of the mocking for left-wing pundits and Michael Moore.
"Bush is not even in the film," Parker said Sunday night from Los Angeles during the DRUDGE REPORT radio broadcast.
"I would ask that people wait and see it, before passing a judgement."

People need to find out more about the movie before spouting off pro or con. Unlike with the Reagans movie, we don't know for sure how this one is going to turn out.
I loved Get Smart!
didnt say there was anything wrong with them :)
just pointing out i bet his idea of "anything for money" magically doesnt extend over to three (four) guys who were constantly on the brink both physically and emotionally.
because it isnt funny to him, he feels its all worthless and the creators must be "punks."
we do, howeever, know the creators and how they are. it shouldnt be too bad if these boys are at the helm.

"We're maing fun of terrorists, not terrorism, we've done this on South Park since the Osama episode. This movie isn't making fun of every angle of it, not police officers or our service men. It rips on Hollywood actors. We thank the Bush admin for the free press. I think you will think it's funny what happens to Janeane Garofalo."
[emphasis mine; added for clarity, as a mulish few hereabouts seem to be experiencing extraordinary difficulties grokking the whole one's-a-Republican-and-the-other's-a-Libertarian concept thingie.] :)
Those punks have done a lot of pro-Bush and pro-WoT cartoons, albeit in their own, irreverent way.
If you haven't already, maybe you should e-mail Matt and Trey a note of support. Just a suggestion.
Sorry about your brother. The sacrifices of those fighting this war will never be forgotten.
Some of the funniest moments on South Park have absolutely savaged the Left, from the MechaStreisand to the PC Concentration camp episode. The "Saddam in Canada" episode almost made me wet myself. Lighten up.

"They are punks and anyone who appreciates their brand of humor is a punk."
Guess I'm a punk?
And guess you've never seen them take on Rob Reiner. :)
" Furthermore, the trailer is terrible. Didn't show/tell much about the movie, if anything. I've never seen a more empty preview for a movie."
They're still working on the movie, it's expected to be completed Oct 1.
"I am Sancho."
No..... I... AM SANCHO!
"Look, it's a covetous Jew!"
