WHITE HOUSE ANGER AT HOLLYWOOD ELECTION SURPRISE: PARAMOUNT PUPPET MOVIE MOCKS TERROR WAR
The Drudge Report ^ | August 01, 2004 | Matt Drudge

Posted on 08/01/2004 5:59:11 PM PDT by O.C. - Old Cracker

A new film set for release from PARAMOUNT has raised the pop culture threat levels at the White House -- a film which mocks the war on terror and media urgency using puppets, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

"I really do not think terrorism is funny, and I would suggest PARAMOUNT give respect to those fighting and sacrificing to keep America safe," a senior Bush adviser told the DRUDGE REPORT this weekend.

The new fuss film TEAM AMERICA, set for release two weeks before the November presidential election, is entering post-production from with SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone

A deep voice using serious tones opens the film's teaser: "We live in a time of unparalleled danger. Weapons of Mass Destruction are being offered to terrorists all over the world. Global chaos is about to consume every country on Earth. And there is only one hope for humanity."

The senior Bush adviser, who asked not to be named, fumed after seeing the movie's official website and trailer.

"This is just unconscionable. Not funny. And I believe it makes fun of everyone in law enforcement... and in the armed services who work tirelessly to keep us safe from harm."

Marionette puppets are used throughout the film to mock terror threats, and media figures who dominate the nation's airwaves.

THEY ARE ON DRUDGE NOW LIVE

And I suspect you've swerved into the truth behind this "story." It's Drudge's usual Sunday stunt.

they mock Satan as well. they made one of the most brutal dictators this generation has seen into a dancer who happens to have relations (in the Biblical sense) with said Satan.

the guys have made fun of: Republicans, Democrats, Socialists, gun-control advocates, NRA, abortion (pro and against) Jews, Nazis, Christians, Atheists, God, humans, NAMBLA, genetic research, evolutionists, blacks, mexicans, women, men, the Simpsons, almost every anime known, chinese (and other asian people) peace activists, war hawks, rich people, poor people, middle class, hippies, rednecks, people that dont even exist yet, people that dont exist (Santa).... i hope you get the point.

they produce a critical eye that isnt meant to make you mad. you're simply supposed to stop and be able to laugh once in a while. even if it is at yourself. if you cant find humor in yourself.... why are you still here?

btw, the GenX crowd is a product. the people before them made the mold. i myself am a GenY and i do see some of the probs w/ the Genxers... but it isnt like they werent raised by other people.

Yeah, but doesn't that describe most of FR and F911? ;)

No, most people who haven't seen fraudnhype 9/11 at least have the ability to read many, many articles that pick apart that movie.

'Team America' isn't out yet. It isn't even completed. They're still shooting scenes for it. And the people who are commenting negatively about it (here and in the bush adminstration) haven't even read the behind the scenes report from ain't it cool news.

Sir, with all due respect, I have faith in my Lord and Savior as well.

i also have enough sense to know that life is for enjoyment and being grateful we have it, this means protecting it, but also enjoying it. if you can't laugh in life, you do not honor the gift of it.

dont take living to seriously. no one gets out alive :)

Your said your head was shaking. I thought it might be serious. If it spreads to your hands and feet, it's all over.

strange as it is to say this, but I saw "I, Robot" yesterday and found it to be quite conservative, in a small-l libertarian way.

Are you sure you aren't a troll? You sound like the DU stereotype of a freeper.

DU in general, btw, is pretty pissed about this movie.

Look out, someday we GenX'ers are going to be old geezers ranting at the younger generation like some of the idiots on this thread -

"You young punks and your punk entertainment and your punky punk girlfriends all punking around here like punks. It makes me sick! Turn up VH1. And get me a sweater. Where's my applesauce?"

So, you guys have seen it? Is it finished, or did you see an extended preview? Is it pretty much solidly anti-left?

There is no better way to attract people to a movie, like F911, for instance, than to build up a little controversy.

Team America will be a hysterically funny movie in its own right, but the politics behind it are not what they seem. That is why it's in their interest to make it look like the WHITE HOUSE, JOHN ASHCROFT and possibly KARL ROVE are against it. Why?

Cover.

This movie will deeply and brutally skewer the sacred cows of liberals, Islamofascists, and everything in between, while taking some highly visible but superficial pot shots at the right. It's the diametrical opposite of Michael Moore waving an American flag. If you looked at the surface image, and didn't listen to the words, you'd think Moore was a proud patriot. This is the same thing, but in reverse.

So expect some anti American sentiments out of a movie that is extremely pro American. Cranky old coots will howl and moan, church ladies will be aghast, and the average 20-30 something joe punks will flock to this movie in droves.
