Sen. John Kerry revealed a lot about himself in his speech last night at the Democrat convention, such as when he paraphrased fellow Democrat Ron Prescott Reagan: "I don't wear my own faith on my sleeve."
He failed to mention that those Catholic bishops who actually practice the Catholic faith ban him from receiving Holy Communion in their dioceses. But today he's probably regretting how much he exposed about himself when he said, "I don't want to claim that God is on our side."

If I were still available and on the prowl, I might, but I'm happy with my married life and three little girls...No need to do any "advertising"...LOL

"So Kerry doesn't want to claim that God is on our side. What is more comforting? God is on our side or Satan is rooting against us?"
I'll take faith in GOD every day of the week. Win or lose here on earth (Humanities choice)...my choice is to WIN after I die!

"I don't wear my own faith on my sleeve." ...this is just one more slimey rhetorical trick in the same vein as "We do not claim that we own the American flag" - a backhanded way of creating the impression that those he opposes do in fact do these things - what's next? - "Our Party is not the one that eats little puppy dogs and throws the bones on the White House lawn"? - these characters wouldn't make points on a junior high school debating team........

"CBSs Byron Pitts, in a sycophantic class to himself. Just before John Kerry emerged into the hall on Thursday night, Pitts passed along
fawning spin points from Kerry operatives about how before every important event Kerry will
make a sign of the cross, then kiss the St. Christopher's medallion his mother gave him as a child. Plus, Kerry always keeps with him his Vietnam dog tags and a four-leaf clover that a voter in Iowa gave him in January when he was trailing badly. After the speech, Pitts relayed how John Kerry had supposedly reminded his sister that on her deathbed their mother told him, integrity, that's what matters, and tonight, Pitts truckled, John Kerry tried to show that integrity.-MRC

My husband said the people there would think "Our guy talks about that God stuff better than Bush!"

A fool asks if God is on his side. The wise man asks himself if he is on God's side. Is that yours, because it is profound.

Maybe I'm a bit naive, but what exactly is wrong with "wearing your faith on your sleeve"? Isn't that something like "letting your light shine before men"?

All this "sign of the cross" and "on the side of God", but I think it was on his video (maybe it was in his speech) that he talked about a "higher power". Maybe he was talking about big government!?

After what I will always believe was divine intervention that stopped Gore from stealing the election, I would say Kerry is 100% right. He'll protect this country again too, I pray.
