That speech was 100% chutzpah. He pleads for taking the high ground, but takes cheap shots at Enron, Cheney, Bush, and trust.
He steals Cheney's "Help is on the way" mantra from 2000.
He claims to now be a hawk in the war on terror. He'll respond to any attack and get our allies to fight with us (doesn't say how). He'll fight nuclear proliferation (one wonders if he even knows about Bush disarming Libya of WMD's).
He's going to add 40,000 troops to our military, cut our taxes, and pay for nationalized healthcare. He's going to equip our soldiers with the body armor that he voted against. He's going to bring the UN on board, but respond unilaterally to attacks.
Uh huh.
Pure chutzpah. 3 full terms in the Senate and precisely *when* did he ever submit a bill to *increase* troop levels and equipment?!
Weak. He'll be up by less than 9% after the dust settles between this convention and ours next month.
5 Legislative Days Left Until The AWB Expires
Well I guess Kerry is anti space exploration.
Very funny! Where did you find these?
Wish it were true but those are actually Dan Quayle quotes ...
Well, the US and Israel successfully tested an anti-missile defense system today. Is that not science?
Pubbies don't attack any science that isn't related to killing unborn babies.
Comrade Kerry not having any substance in his speach (not telling us what he will do and how he will do it) I think that he has mis-underestimated Bush.
Turk,
You'll find them here:

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Cheney's speech was a hum-dinger. Kerry's was just a rip-off and a cheap one at that. His theme of "We can do better" is borrowed directly from John Kennedy's 1960 campaign (Is anyone surprised?)
However, many parts of it sounded like it came from the GOP. Kerry's goal: How can I fool them today. He was shallow and boring and probably many viewers bailed on this stem-winder early.
From here it is difficult to imagine else!
"I want an America that relies on its own ingenuity and innovation - not the Saudi royal family."
Well he may have insulted the Saudi family with that line which means we can expect MUCH LOWER GAS PRICES BETWEEN NOW AND NOVEMBER.
To paraphrase a very popular old TV commercial:
"I can't believe I watched the whooole thing."
Your quotes have also been attributed to Quayle, Bush and Gore. I now see them making the rounds with Kerry's name attached to them.
I don't know who said them, if anybody. Please, Kerry has said enough goofy and scary things without advancing items that can easily be debunked.
Kerry was sweating and at one point was scratching his temple as if to say "Duh-h."
These are the pictures we need to put out for America. Any picture of our president which is less than flattering should be withheld, at least after the election.
Any mangling of syntax should be pointed out and repeated. Bush's mix-ups are due to his mind being on America's real concerns and not on what the press needs to know.
There is also a lot of footage of delegates with big, stupid hats on. These should be replayed and replayed to give people the idea that they are all idiots.
Someone should do an in-depth interview with John McCain and get at least a few anti-Kerry quotes out in the open.
Also, we should be making the case that just because you are in a war does not qualify you to comment on one or even lead one. Vietnam is not Iraq.
Bad intelligence was also responsible for the Bay of Pigs. Of course, Kennedy took the personal fall for that but that fact should be reframed to show how Democrats "cave" and Republicans like George Bush do not have to change their mind or apologize, as most feel that--at least superficially--is seen as weakness.
Rush Limbaugh needs to play audio clips of Kerry stumbling and saying "I believe...I believe...I believe" waiting for the crowd to calm down. With anti-noise compressing, Rush could make it sound like there is no crowd cheering and Kerry is just repeating things nonsensically.
An amusing night.
Pubbies don't attack any science that isn't related to killing unborn babies.
My point exactly. Yet Kerry would have you believe Bush wants us back in the dark ages and has shown no interest in science or research. Perhaps my words weren't specific enough. Sorry. : )
McCain & Kerry stuffed the POW/MIA programs over normalizing relations with Viet Nam. The VN vet Kerry fingered at the VN VETS MEMORIAL WALL was ex Green Beret Ted Sampley who headed up the POW/MIA programs.
Oh this is incredible. They have Bobby Kennedy Jr badmouthing Fox News to Fox News. And talking about how great an AG his dad was in comparison to Ashcroft.
My guess (probably not too far off from reality)?
$40K.
Remember..these guys advocate Socialism. Can't let people be "too successful", despite how much they invest or sweat to get there. That's why they want to tax those "evil rich people" (read: people who's combined family income is north of the poverty line) into oblivion. But, hey - look at the bright side - at least we'll get all sorts of nifty government programs out of the deal!!
The problem we have, is that we're lucky if "most" people (obviously not Freepers) spend more than about an hour between now and November thinking about who they will vote for.
And all the "glitz" and spin (some of which was made by a Speilberg "protoge" fer cryin' out loud!) will bamboozle them into thinking that F'in is just a lovely choice for Prez.
God help us all if this idiot gets elected.
