I wouldn't touch JFK's Vietnam experience. It would only look petty and provides an obvious opening for the Dem attack dogs (who'll get plenty of media coverage -- remember that the playing field is far from level).
My advice: use *humor*, straight talk, specifics, and optimism.
Frank Luntz group up. The majority of undecideds have moved TO KERRY.
Last night several were more anti-Bush tonight several said they were now pro-Kerry. They liked his passion.
Good grief.
They liked it when Kerry talked about his own military service. Those other guys need to get some commercials out.
Re: JF'n K's Vietnam experience:
We might "humorously" point out how a film crew just happened to capture all that footage of our hero, which happened to be right before he ran for office.
Well, I agree about the 4 months in country. He was there, he served, he won his medals, great. But to ignore his activities when he returned to the States, that just to be something that's too big to skip. These are the very activities are the reason a majority of Americans despise Jane Fonda. I would wager that a majority of Americans are unaware of John Kerry's words before the Congress where he accused his "band of brothers" of war crimes.
