You're laughing about my "sand spurs" story, and I didn't even tell you that when my bicycle tires were trashed, I didn't have any idea what the heck put all those pin prick little holes in them. I was really baffled --- until my run across a field a bit later.
Hey..... I have been in the middle of patches of those things. I think they bloomed out those needles as I walked.
I was young and evidently didn't have enough sense to put on shoes.
But I learned very quickly. Those things are dangerous!!!
Did you ever see any of those little toads? Little spikes all over them, with a pointed tail. I haven'tany seen them since I left Texas.
