This was supposed to be a Convention to define Kerry and show America who he really is. To re-introduce him to the masses.

After 4 days, there is still that gap--what has Kerry accomplished in the last 19 years in the Senate?

All we know is that he served in Viet Nam. Ok. That was 35 years ago. What about the last 19 years?

Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC just said that there is a big problem with the policies section of Kerry's speech....SHE SAID IT DOES NOT ADD UP.

SOME GUY ON CNN SAID THAT KERRY LOOKED BAD BECAUSE HE HAS SERVED IN THE SENATE...AND AS LT. GOVERNOR...AND THAT PART OF HIS RESUME ONLY GOT 2 MINUTES OF HIS SPEECH.

Kerry record is gonna haunt him regardless.

Would it be great if a picture of Kerry surfaced with him burning the flag? Would that just be an answer to our prayers?

how dare a poseur like kerry drag lincoln's second inaugural, perhaps the greatest speech ever written in the english language, into his smarmy campaign. Find attached the relevant passage from the 2nd inaugural. It needs no introductory. A link for the entire text follows.

Both read the same Bible, and pray to the same God; and each invokes His aid against the other. It may seem strange that any men should dare to ask a just God's assistance in wringing their bread from the sweat of other men's faces; but let us judge not that we be not judged. The prayers of both could not be answered; that of neither has been answered fully. The Almighty has his own purposes. "Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!" If we shall suppose that American Slavery is one of those offences which, in the providence of God, must needs come, but which, having continued through His appointed time, He now wills to remove, and that He gives to both North and South, this terrible war, as the woe due to those by whom the offence came, shall we discern therein any departure from those divine attributes which the believers in a Living God always ascribe to Him? Fondly do we hope--fervently do we pray--that this mighty scourge of war may speedily pass away. Yet, if God wills that it continue, until all the wealth piled by the bond-man's two hundred and fifty years of unrequited toil shall be sunk, and until every drop of blood drawn with the lash, shall be paid by another drawn with the sword, as was said three thousand years ago, so still it must be said "the judgments of the Lord, are true and righteous altogether"

This is inappropriate on a grand scale. Full text here

I am amazed that the Frenchman would have the chutzpah to so boldly and disingenuously state that he would cut taxes on the middle class. Straight out of the President Clinton act of phoniness. He (Clinton) stated in January 92 "I want to make it very clear that this middle-class tax cut, in my view, is central to any attempt we're going to make to have a short term economic strategy." Jan92 ad; "I've offered a comprehensive plan to get our economy moving again. It starts with a tax cut for the middle class." Mar92 stated; "We need to provide a tax credit of up to $800 per child to ease the burden on working families." Oct92 debate; "We want to give modest middle-class tax relief to restore some fairness, especially to middle-class people with families with incomes of under $60K per year."

When you filed your taxes the following April after the election of 92, I ask you to recall how much tax relief you got. Give up? I'll tell you. Zero. As President, he did give folks big, fat tax increases though. Now remember President Clinton's denials when confronted on the illusory words used in his campaign. It was pure demagoguery then, and it's demagoguery now.

These are the same Democrats that just months ago were trying to vilify President Bush for actually cutting taxes, for the third straight year I might add. Making claims that the tax cuts were ruining the economy, exploding the deficit, the sky is falling, etc.etc.etc. Mr. Kerry is an elitist that believes all power, rights, economic opportunities, and beneficence flow from an all controlling Central Authority to its *citizens*. Otherwise known as the proletariat in the Marxist circles that rule the Democrat party. He will raise taxes on everyone that has net tax liability to further grow (invest in) big Government precisely because it redistributes income from the producers to the non producers to both weaken the middle-class and further governmental dependency. They have to lie, because if they told the truth, and accurately offered their voting record as indicative of future actions, they would be forever toast and probably hasten the extinction of their party.

Please. The man said he wants to expand the military, modernize/upgrade their equipment. Yet he votes to do the opposite as Senator. You could go on and on with the misrepresentations. I did note the curved hand, half a%%ed shaky salute though. So much for snap to! I guess.
