I'm listening to Jim Bohanan (sp?) - one of the first analysts is saying that one of the major effects of this speech will be to drive people closer to Nader.

Not sure I agree with that.

Well apparently EVERYONE I mean EVERYONE in Harlem are so poor, the air is so filthy... government will have to install big Sharper Image ozonators to do the job that God won't do.

You are correct--it wasn't a horrible speech, and actually, I think Kerry did a good job of bringing up domestic issues that the GOP should address: healthcare, taxes, education, outsourcing.

I also think that Kerry's bashing of Ashcroft will resonate.

The media is eating his speech up. As far as I have seen everyone calls it the best speech Kerry has ever given. CBS folks are calling it the best speech by any canidate in recent history.

EVERYONE is gushing... Let's not kid ourselves the media is going to go NUTS about it and is lapping it up.

Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC just said that there is a big problem with the policies section of Kerry's speech....SHE SAID IT DOES NOT ADD UP.

SOME GUY ON CNN SAID THAT KERRY LOOKED BAD BECAUSE HE HAS SERVED IN THE SENATE...AND AS LT. GOVERNOR...AND THAT PART OF HIS RESUME ONLY GOT 2 MINUTES OF HIS SPEECH.

Kerry record is gonna haunt him regardless.

Yep, CFR's gonna bite the Bush campaign in the a$$. I hope they are prepared. Speaking of "Vietnam War Hero, John F'n Kerry", I think his reliance on a 4 month stint in 'Nam propelling him to the White House is a topic that is RIPE for discussion.

There was such low expectations that it was a good speech. Just saying it wasn't doesn't make it so. But don't worry, it's not going to change anything.

I'm not going to debate outsourcing here. What I will say is that you admit as I do that blame lies on both sides, ours and theirs. The difference is that Kerry is saying he'll do something about it. Bush is saying it's good for us. Now, from an objective standpoint, take off your conservative cap for five seconds and pretend you have zero idea about politics. Now look at it. Dems sympathize and say they'll do something about it. Repubs say suck it up, losing your job is good for america. One would be an idiot not to look at the dems hard. What are you prepared to do now.
