An incredibly powerful ticket is emerging from the Democratic convention -- and it is not Kerry-Edwards. It is Hillary Clinton and Senator-Designate Barak Obama. In the recent history of the Democratic party, there is no more enticing ticket -- a woman and an enterprising, articulate black. This combination could promise a chilling 16 years of democratic stranglehold on the presidency.
All the numbers are right, Hillary is still young enough that she could take office in four years, this would coincide with Obama's fourth year in the senate, which would make him experienced enough for the job of vice-president.
All that stands in the way is John Kerry. If Kerry is elected this fall, Hillary faces at least four, but most likely eight years before she gets a shot at the presidency. By this time, the likes of Obama and perhaps even Edwards might be perceived as legitimate contenders for the White House.
Is the Clinton mafia powerful enough to throw this election? The press and Hollywood have reinvented John Kerry, they can also destroy him. Who still pulls the strings of the media and Hollywood? I believe the Clintons still have a powerful alliance with both camps.
Oddly, Kerry is the wild card in the equation. If this mediocre senator can muster enough leadership to overcome the Clinton mafia, perhaps he can win the election and disrupt the plan.
The weakness in this whole situation is that The Bush-Cheney ticket does not provide a logical successor to challenge Hillary in 08.
*chuckle* Well said.
It's like the frog in the pot of water and the application of heat. Sometimes I think we'd be better off if we just let them turn up the heat and get this sleepy frog to jump out of the pot.
A LOT can happen in four years!
No, the Democrats are too racist to nominate a black for the vice presidency. If they weren't, why not this year? They didn't even interview one for the slot.
Imagine a world where the vilest of the Dims had nothing standing in the way of their wildest dreams...where they didn't have to hide their true selves...where they could do exactly as they wish to cheers instead of having good people acting as naysayers...
Not a pretty sight is it? Those Raptured will be saved from having to go through it all, but their leaving will also open the door wide for the final fall...
I like Watts, but I have my sights on George Allen in 2008.
In all of the Hillary conspiracies, I think there is one fly in the ointment that people seem to keep forgetting. Hillary would lose if she ran for President. She had a hard time in New York for chrissakes, you think she's gonna carry Ohio? Not going to happen now, not going to happen in four years.
