[HAS HE forgotten the Clinton Administration? It was in all the papers.]

[KEILLOR wrote this in jest, it is a satire ... but the Dems at this convention are taking themselves seriously, which makes it very funny, when you think about it.]

Think "White Citizens Councils" and you understand the focus of this organization.] ... Former Mass State Senator Cheryl Jacques ... lesbian, Human Rights Campaign, Chairman ... ties the American Revolution against tyranny to the right to do whatever and with whom ... a limerick comes to mind here, with the last line; to do what, and with which, and to whom. ...
Harold Schaitberger, President, Intl Firefighters Association ... comes up after a video with hard-driving music and clips of men fighting fires, interspersed with Kerry in a suit and tie, giving speeches [DID THEY notice the contrast they were setting up?] ... firefighters are proud to stand with Kerry and Edwards until victory is ours .... Roosevelt toTruman ... we've been getting the Raw Deal ,,, now we get the Real Deal .... [DOES he know yet about the faked up photographs from Vietnam?]
Diane Feinstein, Senator, for a nominating speech ... (this should have been vetted word for word, since Kerry has to run on THESE words ... the Platform promises are irrelevant ... the last person to read those is the typist of the final draft) ... he has devoted his life to serving this nation ... a united nation ... a new and different direction ... away from policies that eliminate good-paying jobs ... workers work harder, but they earn less ... 6.6 million Californians have no health insurance .... he'll build the alliances to win the war on terror ... [HOW MUCH sucking up and selling out will be necessary to bribe -- excuse me, bring -- the French and Germans on board?] ... end dependency on foreign oil [ANWAR, anyone?] .... most important election of my lifetime ... greatest threats at home and abroad ... [THIS WOMAN is as old as I am... she was alive during the Korean War, which killed more than 50,000 Americans ... is she stupid, or merely historically illiterate?]
Michael Coleman, Mayor of Columbus, Ohio ... John Kerry is a leader I can trust to tell me the truth ... {AND WHAT happens when Kerry is revealed as a cynical, calculating liar?] ....
Eimy Santiago, YWCA Youthbuild ... spoke in Spanish about John Kerry "saving her life" ... dropout, drug user, pregnant ... what she fails to see is that she has "turned (her) life around not because of John Kerry, but because she founf the strength within herself to do this ... [LIKE many students, she has a clear example in front of her, and draws the precisely wrong conclusion from it]
