Clinton Casts Kerry As Patriot in Vietnam Clinton Criticizes Self, Bush and Cheney As He Casts Kerry As Patriot in Vietnam War and Congress
The Associated Press
BOSTON July 26, 2004 Former President Clinton, in a rare moment of self-criticism, said on Monday night that he, President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney avoided the Vietnam War while John Kerry said, "Send me." Casting the Massachusetts senator as a patriot in war and in Congress, a decorated veteran ready to be a wartime president, Clinton said on the opening day of the Democratic National Convention, "Their opponents will tell you to be afraid of John Kerry and John Edwards, because they won't stand up to the terrorists. Don't you believe it."
With polls showing Bush clinging to a lead over Kerry on the question of fighting terrorism, Clinton sought to assure voters that the nominee-in-waiting's first priority would be keeping America safe. "Remember the scripture," he said, "Be not afraid."
Kerry advisers believe Bush's best chance at winning re-election is convincing voters that the Democratic ticket would be soft on terrorism. Polls show the race tight, with Kerry favored by voters on domestic issues and the public split on who would do the best job in the war on Iraq.
Clinton left office tainted by impeachment and last-minute pardons, but polls show his approval rating is higher than that of either Kerry or Bush. Kerry strategists consider him a living symbol of better economic times, the strongest voice for the Democratic Party.

kerry is a war hero like klintoon did NOT have sex with "that" woman
Clinton never finished the Kerry quote, I believe the entirety of it is "send me HOME"
Best 4 months Kerry ever invested. Marriage time notwithstanding.

What a pantload. He can denigrate those who served in the Air National Guard during Vietnam if he wants but I choose to honor those who served in whatever military capacity.
As for those who lied about their intent to join the ROTC and instead went overseas to organize protests against their own country during time of war -- they can rot in Hell.
Why not, they cast "Clinton" as president. Which is more ludacrist?

But since Klintoon dodged the
Draft but is idolized by Dems
& was Prez for 8 yrs, what on
earth difference does his take
of "Kerry as Patriot" make?
HUH?
By the standard, he disqualified
HIMSELF!
Clinton: Draft dodger
Cheney: got a deferment
Bush: joined the NG and volunteered to go to Nam. Part of a unit that wasn't sent to Nam.
These three are all in totally different leagues. Bill Clinton's using his bad name to drag down others.
FANTASTIC! Can I use that line?
Did he mention that Kerry Killed a guy in Nam.
The solution to the problem is
I forced myself to watch both Hill and Bill. They have the same message but follow their own unique styles. Hillary grasps at disjointed events, weaves a big story of intrigue, casts her enemies with her very own characteristics full of venom class warfare, promises everything and a big rainbow of soft socialism and sucks up the adulation from the zombie faithful, all the while wildly scanning her eyes to any whouldbe detractors and neutralize them with her Charles Manson gaze. Bill Clinton relies on his excellent speaking abilities, charisma, photogenics, and a mesmerizing cadence that induces a hypnosis of sorts that shortcuts reasoning. Bill Clinton does all this unencumbered by such trivialities as truth in facts, true patriotism, or ethics of political office. He again plays the victim, promises everything under a global soft socialism utopia, and basks in the adulation of his misguided following. Both Clintons are the king and queen of lipservice politics and a frightful future of global socialism where China will manufacture our artillery shells and France defends our border with Mexico.
Kerry was a supporter of the "People's Peace Treaty," a supposed "people's" declaration to end the war, reportedly drawn up in communist East Germany.
It included nine points, all of which were taken from Viet Cong peace proposals at the Paris peace talks as conditions for ending the war.
One of the provisions stated: "The Vietnamese pledge that as soon as the U.S. government publicly sets a date for total withdrawal [from Vietnam], they will enter discussion to secure the release of all American prisoners, including pilots captured while bombing North Vietnam."
In other words, Kerry and his VVAW advocated the communist line to withdraw all U.S. troops from Vietnam first and then negotiate with Hanoi over the release of prisoners. Had the nine points of the "People's Peace Treaty" favored by Kerry been accepted by American negotiators, the United States would have totally lost all leverage to get the communists to release any POWs captured during the war years.

Klintoon is a good speaker and can rally the croud, the only thing he forgot to do was to tell them all to start drinking the Kool-Aid.
Kerry is a traitor tho this country, and all of Klintoons words can't change that.
