Ronnie Reagan says Gore won every single media recount in Florida 2000

I was flipping through the coverage of the jack@ss convention and came across Ronnie Reagan telling Chris Mathews that President Bush and the SCOTUS stole the election from Al Gore. The former ballerina, claimed that every single vote recount in Florida by the media resulted in Gore winning the popular vote in Florida and therfore the National Electorial College majority in 2000.

Ron Reagan, and other Leftists, are arguing that Gore would have won a Florida state recount as shown by the media recounts afterwards. We know that isn't true, but to my mind this obscures the more important point.

Namely, the recounts in Florida were all a violation of Florida law anyway. The law specified recounts for certain circumstances. The only recount allowed by law for a close election is an automated recount - which was done quickly and certified Bush as the winner.

News agencies combined their talents together and looked at results for several months. When their research was concluded, Bush won every scenario.

IIRC there was actually one scenario where Gore would have won a recount. Naturally, it was a completely contrived and far-fetched one, that involved a recount of the entire state of Florida (which Gore wanted to avoid at all costs), as well as some mysterious formula where certain undervotes or overvotes were counted. The media of course tried to run with this one as The One True Count, but it was so ridiculous that they had to drop it pretty quick.

Al Gore also conceded the election to Bush, then changed his mind when the Daley boys from Chicago showed up.
