XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX SUN JULY 25, 2004 23:33:04 ET XXXXX

TERESA TELLS REPORTER TO 'SHOVE IT'

Teresa Heinz Kerry, wife of Democratic nominee John Kerry, told a reporter to 'shove it' on Sunday evening -- immediately after giving a speech calling for a more civil tone in politics.

Speaking to the Pennsylvanian delegation at the statehouse in Boston, Heinz Kerry delivered an impassioned plea against hate politics:

"We need to turn back some of the creeping, un-Pennsylvanian and sometimes un-American traits that are coming into some of our politics."

"I remember a time when people in political parties in Pennsylvania talked to one another and actually got things done. We have to go back to those days when we can do things properly, for the people need it."

"My prayers for you, for me, for the country, for the world, are that we keep this at a high level, with dignity, with respect and with a great idealism and courage that took our forefathers to build this great nation."

According to multiple sources who attended the event, Heinz Kerry upon finishing the speech pushed her way through the Secret Service to get to Pittsburgh Tribune Review reporter, Colin McNickle. Upon getting to Mcnickle, Heinz Kerry asks, 'Are you from the Tribune Review' Mcnickle says, 'Yes, I am.'

At this point and in an irritated fashion Heinz Kerry says, 'Of course, understandable. You said something I didnt say. Now Shove it!'

Tape of the incident is being edited to air on Pittsburgh's WTAE-TV, and, according to a media source, ABC NEWS is set to run with it thereafter.

A witness of the incident said reporters were "stunned" by Heinz Kerry's outburst, especially in light of the speech she had just given.

Anybody with eyes and ears now knows John Kerry is married to a raving lunatic.

Ah, but she's a filthy rich raving lunatic.

[What is she saying? A reporter misquoted her?]

Yeppers.....but the reporter DIDN'T misquote her. She did say "unAmerican." He was asking for CLARIFICATION...what did she mean by "UNAMERICAN"? She then denied she said "UnAmerican" COUNTLESS TIMES and, instead, claimed to the reporter, "You're putting words in my mouth."

Guess she thinks that if she denies she said "UNAMERICAN" REPEATEDLY, we're supposed to believe she didn't say it.

Oh, BTW, next she'll be saying she didn't say "shove it," either. : )

I particularly liked how the video shows her using the word "un-American" a couple of times and then denying she used it. So she said it before she didn't say it, no doubt. I think this really encapsulates the Democratic approach... President Bush is a liar, a thug, AWOL, a deserter, he f'd things up, etc., etc. That's just considered discourse about the issues, and anyway, they get to say it because it's true and you're just a stupid right wing evangelical Christian attack dog... and you're not tolerant like they are, either. But when someone points out that Senator Kerry voted against something, that's "going negative." Any commentary on his military service is his prerogative alone; if you question it, that's "a personal attack." And incivility is un-American... unless it comes from a Democrat. Similar to the Senate floor being too sacred for VP Cheney to use an obscenity, but the Oval Office is just the spot for President Clinton to... um, act on it?

I can just imagine how the lovely Terehsa treats John Kerry behind closed door....I'll bet it isn't pretty either.

I wonder if she knows the difference between "shove it" and "up yours"??

The dainty way Jean Kerry eats cheesesteaks is very un-Pennsylvanian.

I would love to see him try to fit in with the little people in the 200 level during an Eagles game.

I almost spewed my coffee this morning. Jim Quinn was talking about Teresa's tantrum on his radio show and every time he mentioned her name, a horse whinnied, a la Frau Blucher in "Young Frankenstein."

Glad you got to see the actual video.........WABC radio news cited an edited version and then played the clip of her comments about ten times normal speed so you couldn't understand a word......then they went on to other news....

Guess they felt that would be enough!

Of course, every report of this story has a comment about Cheney's comment to Leahy and even lower they are comparing it to one of the Bush twins sticking her tongue out at the media.

The intellectual dishonesty is breathtaking.

TerYaZa said herself in the Cindy Adams interview, "I can't believe I married an American, twice", and "I can't believe I live in America.

I wish I would have saved that article. Does anyone else have it?

And didn't Terayzah's flack later refer to the newspaper as a right-wing rag that was out to get the Dems? Charming, eh?

The Dems will never hold it in for four days, not even with mass quantities of booze and meds. They're gonna blow.

My question with these people is, don't they KNOW that their words are being taped??

How can you say you didn't say something (FIVE times, no less) when you just DID, and think you'll get away with it?

I know the Kerry duo are both arrogant elitests.....but are they also STUPID??
