Kerry just 'threw' out the opening pitch at the Boston-Yankees game. Just saw Kerry pitch a really weak opening pitch, well short of the plate, bouncing under the catcher. What a poser!

Remember, Kerry said himself he had this planned for a week -- why all the subterfuge and last-minute diversion nonsense? Because it makes him sound like a big fan to take time off his campaign trail to go to this.

Also because it isn't (wasn't supposed to be) his party until Wednesday or Thursday.
I bet he couldn't wait for his birthday or Christmas either when he was a kid.

I wonder if the vet was to throw out the first ball and kerry pre-empted that hero? I wouldn't doubt it.

Millar, beloved KFC spokesman, says, "Hi, I'm Kevin Millar. I hit baseballs for a living. Sometimes they go far, and sometimes they don't, but, damn, I sure hit me some baseballs."
Oh, and Big and Rich's "Save a Horse" should be his entrance music post haste. He's "Cowboy-ing Up" for the first time all season.

I hope someone at the Bush campaign or at the RNC is taping this and taking lots of notes. i wonder of they could turn this into the mainstream media'a "Whoopi Goldberg moment?"

I know, that pitch was not a sinker by far!
To: finnman69
Perhaps Kerrye's handlers should have prepped him better. "Just think of the ball as you Vietnam medals." Maybe then he'd have thrown it further.
A suggestion for a campaign slogan: "Bush '04: Vote for Someone Who Can Get It Over The Plate."

I must cut this out and save this...
Glad to hear you like my original! I emailed this out to many a week ago and got the same reaction!

...NYCV, Mo, you might be interested in this, too. Apparently Kerry was supposed to be in FL tonight, not at this game....Kerry is saying he planned the baseball game appearance a week ago. If so, then why were the press buses, staff rental cars, TV news vans, Kerry/Edwards campaigners ALL WAITING with engines running, etc at the airport in Florida???
I was there and went up to a Kerry worker and asked where the public was going to be able to stand. He said he didn't know. I asked what time Kerry was supposed to land. He said he didn't know. He said basically none of the workers there knew what was going on. He said to me: "You know about as much as I do."
I'm thinking this was a last minute change.
