The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

South Central Missouri, Zone 5 I think, not positive. Whatever, we're near the border of two zones, and tend toward the warmer one in terms of weather.

For instance, I leave my dahlia, hosta and lily (oriental, day lilies and canna) bulbs in the ground overwinter, with heavy leaf mulch over them, then just uncover them in the spring when it's safe. Some are out in the yard, but protected from wind. They've always made it, most double or triple.

But we're far enough north that pecans don't always produce nuts.

We always plant our veggies from seed, onions and pots from sets. We have strawberries, grapes that don't need any planting from year to year, they just come back. Usually I clean up the strawberry beds in the spring, and fertilize.

We also have grape vines (Concord), elderberries, persimmons, blackberries, raspberries, apples, cherries, and some new peach trees, plus black walnuts. I'm going to tap a couple of maples early next year, my elderly neighbor had done it, successfully, as a young woman...

Hub is an excellent gardener, my job is preservation of the food. We use everything in season, plus prep and freeze quite a lot, plus pickle some things. We have a dozen free range chickens, wish we had a cow.

But we know we'll never go hungry.

Be sure you know the source of an attachment before opening it. Also remember that it is not enough that the mail originated from an email address you recognize. Many viruses spread precisely because they originate from a familiar email address.
Maintain updated anti-virus software

It is important that you use antivirus software and keep it up to date. Most antivirus software vendors frequently release updated information, tools, or virus databases to help detect and recover from virus infections. Many antivirus packages support automatic updates of virus definitions. US-CERT recommends using these automatic updates when possible.

This variant of MyDoom (known as MyDoom.M or MyDoom.O) is significant because it seems to be conducting searches on addresses it harvests from infected computers. Therefore, not only is email activity affected, response times in many popular search engines may be dramatically reduced.
