The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

On the other FR thread about the parachutists, it was confirmed that the initial report was made by a National Guardsman who thought he saw parachutes landing . . . so it has that certain grain of truth, not just something called in by an anarchist disruptor . . .

No when a terrorist event begins to unfold they will
squelch all media. They do not want the terrorist
comunicatiing with each other. So it would appear
that at a time when the public would really need to
know what is going on, all comunication venues would
close down.

I wonder whether the recent reports on the manhole explosions is nothing more than the "shark report syndrome." Manhole explosions have occurred from time to time for as long as I can remember, and certainly long before terrorism became a significant issue. Have there been more manhole explosions than normal over the last few weeks, or are they just being reported more?

Me neither. I couldn't stomach the Kerry lovefest. They aren't getting my ratings. It will be nothing but talk radio and FR for me this week.

I think it would be a great idea, our entire thread got pushed to the backroom, and then chat once, when it should be those disrupting the thread. And zogging trolls etc doesn't help alot because they just sign up as new ID's

NewsCenter 5's Gail Huff reported that military police called in reports just after midnight that two parachutists had landed in the yard of the Charles River Park condominium complex. Additional reports indicated there were also parachutists on the top of the Tip O'Neill Federal Building located next door to the FleetCenter.

Before police helicopters arrived, officers on the ground covered the area, sending officers to the roofs of the buildings. SWAT teams went to the top of the federal building. All available state and local officers responded, some with K9 units. Nothing was found and state police said no one was arrested.

I can see the symbolism of an attack on Springfield, it is our Capitol but Peoria? Maye the red cross actually just simply needs help in these areas and we are being alarmist?
