The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

All this info makes me wonder where they got this intel. It sounds as iff they're reading it "word for word" from a book or something.

Why would AQ want to bomb IMF and World Bank since they are both international and are not US icons?

It's kind of like the UN IMO. They are not necessarily US run organizations, but money rarely goes out of either without the expressed consent of the US.

Since our country/economy is linked by umbilical cord to the globalists and their institutions [federal reserve, IMF..etc]..then what is bad for the gloablists is bad for us (?)

You're both right about the go to person concept. Wasn't at nephew's party more than 15 minutes when my brother (attorney and former Assistant Attorney General state of MO) casually asked what "that conservative website you hang around on" thought about today's events! What a hoot. So, I told him. Ended up with quite a crowd on the patio and a great discussion. There is so much info that I had that these people had never heard. Sent them all away with the FR website and TM thread in particular. I suspect there will be a few more lurkers soon.

From Internet Haganah:

The Central America connection

Recall the two South Africans captured recently with senior Al Qaida operative Ahmed Khalfan "Baby Face" Ghailani, and also that Secretary Ridge suggested in his press briefing this afternoon that the intelligence that is the basis for the current alert was a product, at least in part, of the capture of Ghailani and friends.

Recall that South African Farida Goolam Mohamed Ahmed was captured in Texas attempting to fly to New York, which we now know to be the target of an active Al Qaida operation. Recall how she had crossed the border from Mexico, having flown to Mexico City from the UK.

With that in the back of your mind, you are invited to (re)read the following:

Certainly. If the ultimate goal is destroying the US, we have to be destroyed economically first. A great way to ensure this is to hit global money institutions as well as American ones. Again, as far as I know, the IMF and World Bank rarely dole out funds without our support.

US Backs World Bank and IMF

As Powell said, "strong United Stated leadership in the IMF, the World Bank and the WTO is crucial to America's future and the world's future." But Powell also signaled that there are limits to Republican support for publicly funded bail-outs, calling on the private sector to "become more involved in financial workout because, increasingly, they are the main source for financing."

Global Exchange Fact Sheet

The IMF and World Bank have been empowered by the governments which control it (led by the U.S., the U.K., Japan, Germany, France, Canada, and Italy -- the "Group of 7," which holds over 40% of the votes on their boards) with imposing economic austerity policies in the countries of the so-called "Third World" or "global South." Once Southern countries build up large external debts, as most have, they cannot get credit or cash anywhere else and are forced to go to these international institutions and accept whatever conditions are demanded of them. None of the countries has emerged from their debt problems; indeed most countries now have much higher levels of debt than when they first accepted IMF/World Bank "assistance."

Everyone needs to realize: She is not South African. She is Pakistani. Travelling on forged South African passports obtained through contacts with organized crime. South Africa has stated that 7,000 blank passports have been stolen.

Your post just reminded me of a strange incident that I recall from ohhhh about thread 3 or 4.

There was a taxi driver who drove two ME's from (I think) California to someplace in the Mid West (maybe Minneapolis). If I recall this happened sometime in the winter or early spring of this year. The ME's supposedly told the taxi driver that they didn't have enough identification, when he asked why they weren't taking an airplane.

No I didn't know about the 6,000 pieces gold. I don't recall any difinitive info. on how she was caught.

According to South African newspapers, Farida Goolam Mohamed Ahmed is South African citizen of Pakistani descent.

A federal law enforcement official told The New York Times the woman, Farida Goolam Mohamed Ahmed, 48, might have been a courier sent to deliver a message or documents to someone in the United States.

She might be the passport connection.

West Nile virus kills second California man

REDLANDS, Calif. (AP) - A 75-year-old man died from the mosquito-borne West Nile virus, becoming California’s second fatality linked to the illness, officials said Sunday.

Morris Sternberg was admitted to a hospital July 18, and died Saturday “as a result of complications from the virus,” San Bernardino County Deputy Coroner Randy Emon said.

Sternberg’s previous medical history was unknown, health officials said.

West Nile has sickened more than 260 people across the nation this year, and resulted in six deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
