Credit: The Cabal The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger. "Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix." We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research. YOU be the Judge and get informed. "I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat." |
Group linked to al Qaeda warns of 'columns of car bombs' Australia and Italy have received warnings through a statement purportedly from militants linked to al Qaeda that demanded those countries withdraw troops from Iraq. |

"Project SERENE" sounds like a good name too!
Gold ended last week at $391. At 8:40PM EST (Now) it is up to $393.20.
Someone who understands how very Dr. P used to taste!
Yes, a Ryder truck can fit right up against those columns
My word JP, you have been one busy girl posting away. Thanks for your hard work and your dedication to TM!
Question:
Why would AQ want to bomb IMF and World Bank since they are both international and are not US icons?
Thank you all....
Lots of great ideas for my new screen name!!
Writing them all down for consideration.
It will be hard to give up WCG. I will have lots of aka's (CoCo, WCG) lol.
After thinking about it I may have a possible answer. This could raise the price of gold on the international market. They did say that gold would be the indicator of things to come...
Good to see you back Piper. I won't be around much because I'm in the middle of moving, and my new place will not have internet for another week. :( I'll try to keep up from work.
That sounds a bit ratcheted up from "keeep on doing your normal activities" c'est non?

IMF cracking down on terrorist funding?
I bet they are both "villians" in Muslim Africa for loan repayment demands.
No kidding. There's more to this than just these five buildings.
Welcome back Indie - don't be a stranger! You're right about that. Just about every airport in the country is filled with those whose backgrounds need to be checked out sitting in those taxis.
Yeah I think it's a cover to give them a reason to close off much of the access to the towns and landmarks, and bump up the presence of security without giving away what they really know about the real targets.
Tinfoil time..
... coincidentally, right before the GOP Convention, too.
A computer company official said human error was the likely cause for the problem, which involved departure preparations, such as flight scheduling, catering services and baggage processing.
American had its planes back up after two hours, while US Airways flights were grounded for about three.
It appears to be unintentional user error, (????) said Jeff Baum, spokesman for Electronic Data Systems Corp., the Plano-based company that hosts the computer system used by both airlines. He said the problems never posed a safety issue.

By the way, I'm surprised they didn't blame this on squirrels or birds. :-)
LOL. Your impression is at least 30 years out of date. Maybe more like 60, since there have been several of the largest military bases here since the WWII time frame (Camp Lejeune, Fort Bragg, and Seymour Johnson AFB).
Not to mention Charlotte and the Research Triangle in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area which is very high tech (one of the highest per capita rates of people holding PhDs for any of the large metro areas in the nation). Lots of potentially interesting targets.
Actually the main reason NC might be less interesting than many other areas isn't the lack of infrastructure, but that the infrastructure is very spread out. There are 3 metro areas in NC with +/- 1 million residents (Charlotte/Gastonia, Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem, and Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill), but all 3 of these have very low population densities for such large population centers. The three major military bases are widely separated. There are no spectacularly large buildings or facilities to target, so to make a significant impression you need more attacks in more places => more coordination with more operatives and more material => more chance of detection.
At this point, of all of the States in the South, NC would be one of the obvious targets along with VA (DC etc), Georgia (Atlanta), and Texas. It isn't just hillbillies and Nascar, and hasn't been for a long time. Bruce
