Credit: The Cabal The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger. "Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix." We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research. On a serious note, I think we all should be aware that communication outages and grid disruptions could occur over the next week (or more if this stuff keeps up and it looks like it will) from NATURAL CAUSES, not necessarily terrorism.
It appears there's another big spewing sunspot about to transit the eastern limb and shoot CME's towards earth, it just fired one off a few hours ago, sort of announcing it's arrival and it's not even visible yet. from the holographic siesmic imaging of the sun it looks as if it will be followed by another big sunspot.
you should get a few more chances for good aurora's before this set of spots dies out.
Thank you for protecting me from that pure evil. I owe you one. I'm still trying to get last night's overload out of my system.
It had been cloudly here both days. So I can't see anything.

"Summer meteor showers descend"
(SPACE.com) -- Summer is the season for shooting stars, and this year could be among the best as the annual Perseid meteor shower promises to be better than usual.
Anyone gazing at the summer night sky for even a short length of time now through the end of August is likely to spot a few streaks of otherworldly light. In general, the Earth encounters richer meteoric activity during the second half of the year.
The best meteor display of the summer comes during the second week of August, during the Perseid event. At its peak around the nights of Aug. 11 and 12, the shower can produce 50 to 100 fast, bright meteors per hour for any observer with a wide-open view of a dark sky.

I saw that, lol. :)
This is a new sunspot, not 652? I missed out last night as well due to clouds, I was watching the charts and wishing it would clear up.
I heard last nights event was greater than the one in late Fall 2003. I saw some beautiful aurora right around Halloween in CT.
