It sure does. Diagnosing *mental illness* is way too subjective and ,IMO, should only be done by a trained professional at the parents request. No way some stranger should be declaring my kid mentally ill. And who knows what they are going to define as mental illness in the future? Anything to go after Christians and conservatives.

If you don't tow the publik skewl party line (agenda) on a whole host of liberal topics, I'll bet they'll declare you mentally ill. They're just trying to put teeth into their policies that they are already implimenting in those schools anyway ala 1984 or Brave New World.

ToT, thanks for the ping. Sure glad I don't live in IL but am surprised that they beat NY to the punch.

That's exactly what I was going to say. :) It is very suprising Illinois beat NY with this since NY is usually the first when it comes to passing new big brother laws.

In post 95 there are two links. The last one, healthinschools has NY listed as already signed on.

Well, after a good night's sleep... :-) ...it appears this "article" links to nowhere, and some Freepers here indicated they're just having some fun.

Which is a tremendous relief!

Still, any legislation regarding "mental health screening" is something we all need to watch closely. (Thanks, Cal, for the other links).
