I believe Bush will win by a wide margin, too.

But I also believe that our country and Bush's reelection both STILL REQUIRE TONS OF PRAYER. It just feels like there's a GREAT MINE FIELD for him and for our country between now and the election.

FWIW, art/museums/performing arts/cultural world were largely exploited with terrorism. The performing arts visas were being used to smuggle people in past INS.

I missed O'Reilly. This whole issue peeves me and it is tied into another issue I loathe equally. I hate how some universities have been granting ILLEGAL ALIENS the tuition rate for residents, meanwhile students who are LEGAL LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS but who reside outside the state must pay the higher non-resident tuition rates. Is that screwy or what? We keep rewarding law breaking aliens at the expense of our own.

You should talk to a friend of mine. She and her son were born in California, her parents and grandparents paid taxes in California, yet, because she and he son lived out of state for a brief time, during which her son graduated high school, they couldn't afford the out-of-state tuition rates when they moved back.

Instead of going to college (for which he is eminently qualified) he's working at Wal*Mart.

Meanwhile, some ILLEGAL alien is filling his slot for FREE!

This site has some interesting stuff about patterns and trends in the markets with relation to terrorist/international events. Some of the information is a little "out there" but I find the financial analysis relevant. This was posted there yesterday:

and...

I remember a similar alert being posted there on 3/10, the day after the Madrid train bombings occurred.

I suppose if people have foreknowledge as in the case of 9/11, this could lead to some unusual market activity.

Howdy Folks. Again, you've all be busy. I've been out sick (feeling much better now). Will never be able to catch up (too much work to do).

Just some thoughts:
I believe time is getting short before the next hit. I'm not sure any of us can predict the mode of attack, there are just too many. Given that, we must all be prepared. By now, preparedness should be an automatic, everyday occurrence.

1) My 3-day kit automatically leaves home with me. I just grab it without thinking and throw it in the trunk of my car. It's automatic.

2)Heavy boots, heavy socks, and rain gear stay in the car in case I've got to walk home.

3) Gas tank does not go below 1/2 tank. Ever.

4) Rotate food and water supplies. I did some of this last night after I started feeling better.

What I'm trying to say is that we've been at a heightened state of alert of a while now. For me, it's the new norm since 9/11/01. It'll be this way probably the rest of our lives.
