I'd like to know if they had the box cutters with them when they went through security - and security saw them and still let them through - or if it was an inside job, that the box cutters were placed under their seats for them.

Boxcutters were OK to carry on board pre 9/11.
Yeah, that's what I've heard ... but it should've raised a red flag to those security people. Oh, well - the damage has been done. We can only pray nothing like this ever happens again.

I made a big error in perspective, but now the pic makes sense. Midtown is what it shows, looking from west to east, North is to the left and south to the right, the angular streets along the hudson are the westside, chelsea, village. I mistook the stick for the Brooklyn Bridge. Thanks for the building/location IDs.
