Well, well. Look who just caught up. Did Ronny finally do a little research?

But now that Mr. Reagan has contradicted the top Democrat, it's not clear whether Sen. Kerry will publicly acknowledge he and Reagan are at odds over the potential for stem cell research as a cure for Alzheimer's when Reagan addresses the Democratic convention at the end of this month. Forget Alzheimers. Twinkle toes appearance at the Dim convention has one purpose only, and, although it will be mentioned, it has absolutely nothing to do with stem cell research.

"Alzheimers is a disease, ironically, that probably wont be amenable to treatment through stem cell therapies,"
Everything is ironic.
Thanks Alanis Morissette.

Little Ronnie is a tippie-toed tutu wearin' tarantula. The feigned surprise yesterday from the blathering idiots that he was speaking at the RAT convention was laughable. Why does PMSNBC continue to retain him on their payroll when he is obviously a RAT operative?

"So why have he and his mother, former first lady Nancy Reagan, made stem cell research their cause celeb? "
Two words: Patti Davis.
The compulsion of former President Reagan's children to disrespect him while he was in office, and after he left office, is only surpassed by what they are planning to do now that he has passed away.
Its "mommie dearest" without the rationale.

Who gives a "hoot" what Kerry or little Ronnie think? They aren't in medical research last I heard.
If they want to be part of medical research, I think they should volunteer to take the place of a rat.

President Reagan lived to be 93 years old, which is considerably longer than the current average lifespan in America. Granted, the last ten years of his life were far from quality years, but even if a cure for Alzheimer's had been discovered, I'm not sure how much longer the family could reasonably have expected the guy to live.

Translation - Ronnie is willing to use his dead Dad for advancement of his own personal agenda, regardless of the facts, and regardless of what his Dad would have preferred.
People need to understand why Ronnie is acting like this. One of the Liberals' most favorite tactics is to take the children of great Conservative leaders, and to pump their egos up by accepting them, praising them, and lavishing attention on them when they do things to contradict or embarass their Conservative parents. This story is as old as the Hills.
Ronnie comes out against Conservatives, supports things that his Father would not, and the only reason anyone listens to him at all is because of who his Father was. Totally and completely pathetic.

When they say stem cell research, what they mean is embryonic stem cell research. IOW, a scheme to bring more money to the Dims' fav special interest group, abortionists.
Follow the money.

"Scientists theorize that the cells, which give rise to all other cells and tissues in the body, could yield treatments for Parkinson's disease, diabetes and, perhaps, Alzheimer's disease, which former President Reagan had." COULD yield treatments. Maybe. IS raising human beings to harvest and cannibalize them.
The Red Chinese are criticized for taking transplant organs from prisoners - sometimes while they're still alive. But these DO result in cures. Embryonic stem-cell is harvesting human cells WITHOUT even knowing if there's a cure at the end of it.
They're both bad, but what the Red Chinese are doing is actually more defendable.

The revelation could prove particularly embarrassing for the national press, which has printed hundreds of stories in recent days touting stem cell science as a cure for Alzheimer's. They deserve to be embarrassed, then, because the information that embryonic stem cells were useless for Alzheimer's was in the news just after President Reagan died. They must not have been paying attention!
