WILMINGTON - In what has gotten to be a yearly event the NAACP leadership has taken a swipe at President Bush.
NAACP President Kweisi Mfume is saying that President Bush is treating the Black community like prostitutes by claiming to want the Black vote while snubbing the NAACP's annual convention for four consecutive years.
"We're not fools," said Mfume. "If you are going to court us, court us in the daytime, but not like we're a prostitute where you run around at night of behind closed doors and want to deal with us but not deal with us in the light of day."
Why won't he come?
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that in 2001 NAACP Chairman Julian Bond likened the Bush administration to the "Taliban". In 2002 Bond characterized Bush's civil rights policies as "snake oil". And last year, after Bush proposed to Congress and secured the largest relief dollars ever for the continent of Africa, and gave a moving and important speech repenting for America's great sin of slavery, Bond referred to the trip as an "exotic photo-op".
Mfume is now insisting that he be given a prominent speaking role in both political conventions.

Good move by Bush to ignore these idiots again. What possible gain could he obtain by addressing them?
Well, the NAACP treats the Dem Party like an abusive husband - they keep going back for their semi-annual face slapping and neglect at the hands of the donkey party.
And the Dems don't? They pay blacks out of the public till in return for allowing them to screw them out of their future with bad public education and counterproductive social programs.
Ah the party of peace, love and happiness. What would the MSM response be if the tables were turned and a conservative group stated the same about the NAACP?
Some groups just get a pass. And they wonder why they "get no respect".
Sure, no problem, he can follow right after Pat Buchanan.
Could be Bush is too smart to stumble into a "Sister Souljah Moment"......... like our previous President who got a little too close to the Anti-White agenda?
Kwaisi Mfume overlooks the fact the Democrats already treat Black Americans like cheap whores - their votes are taken for granted. What a case of cognitive dissonance! President Bush was completely within his rights to choose not to address a group of black LIBERALS. They're not the gatekeepers of the black community or an spokesperson for all blacks and they know it. Of course such cheap insults hurled by the NAACLP upon the President Of The United States only highlights how identified they are as Democratic partisans and liberals.
Anyone think Condi serves as a prostitute for President Bush?
Sitting here trying to think WHAT DEMOCRAT has ever really put a black into the tremendous positions of power that President Bush has.
The democrats really love the blacks, as long as they are stupid, angry and willing to believe their lies.
I love the squeal of the ignorant in the morning!
These characters don't necessarily represent mainstream blacks. These are the poverty pimps, the ones who see Cynthia McKinney as legit, and Condie Rice as a sell-out.
Mfume can't grasp the concept that the NAACP doesn't speake for ALL the Blacks in America, only those who vote democrat.
And Frizell being the father of how many children, by how many different women? Think he beats Je$$e all to hell.........Yep, great example for black youth........ANY youth!
This means more than its face value. This means the left-wingers are nervous about Republicans reaching out to blacks. This means they KNOW we could reach the conservative blacks if we worked at it. They look ridiculous, but they will stop at nothing to keep conservative blacks voting for liberal Democrats. Bush needs to step over these liberal jokers and keep reaching out to the black community. They do not all think alike, but we must compete for their vote.
Indeed, the NAACP is the Klan with a tan.
On the other hand, when a passing Good Samaritan comes along to pick them up and lead them back to light and a respectable existence, the consuming rage at how badly they were treated by others leads the bruised and bleeding wretch by the side of the road to attack the Good Samaritan and his motives.
No wonder most of the peole passing moved to the other side of the road.
Maybe if the NAACP leadership stopped PIMPING ...
