I ask all FReepers to pray for the safety of my son in the IDF, who is on duty in the Jordan Valley.

FRmail me to be added or removed from this Judaic/pro-Israel ping list.

WARNING: This is a high volume ping list

Israel should tell the international court to go Leahy itself.

I quote myself from an earlier thread:
World Court to Rule Against Israel's Barrier

In other news, the International Court of Slings and Arrows has ruled that Elizabeth Hurley must present herself to the Court at her earliest convenience for the express purpose of becoming Mrs. Slings and Arrows.

The first ruling has about as much chance of being enforced as the second.

...I just hope the Jewish US citizens remember who stands by Israel and who didn't cosy up to arafat when it comes time to vote...
Well, there's always a first time, I suppose....

Excuse me, but I have two issues with this. First, please don't lump all Americans who are Jewish into one category. I don't see anyone demanding that all Christian Americans vote as a block. Second, As an American, a Jew, and a Proud Military Mom, I don't base my voting on a candidates stand on Israel. I am an American, and my vote goes to the person who deals with issues that affect me directly. Granted I am a rarity among Jews, I am unabashedly right wing conservative, and a hawk, and I DO support the State of Israel, but because it is the correct thing to do, NOT because I am Jewish.

The International Court of Justice will rule on Friday that the separation fence contravenes international law

Again, this court tries to meddle in things that are beyond it's affairs. In this case, there is no 'international' in the affairs. This is a case where a country is dealing in it's own internal issues. Just another reason not to have anything to do with this so-called international court.

Well, I figured someone else would have said similar long before me... it was that obvious, and a paraphrase made for the occasion ;0)

The court has ruled that on the basis of the material available to it, "[it] is not convinced that the specific course Israel has chosen for the wall was necessary to attain its security objectives."

I actually laughed out loud - but then realized this sounds just like so many recent opinions of the US Supreme Court.

While they want Israel to tear down that wall, The UN is spending $ 21 Million to erect a wall around it's headquarter in NYC.
Double standard here?

Since when can a country not protect it's own borders?

Since when are you required to allow foriegners to come into your country and work?

Would any other country subject itself to the loss of soveriegnty this ruling suggests?

.....other than France???.....

Israel's answer to the International Court should be taken directly from Dick Cheney.

Not only NO!!!! but H#LL NO!!!!!!!
I am sooooo slad that at least one other country other than the USA has a spine, and I often applaud Israel for having a larger stiffer spine than USA does.
