Lone Vietnam Vet Protests Kerry at Radio City Concert on 7/8
Greetings everyone.
I was just walking past Radio City Music Hall in NYC a few minutes ago and remembered that the delayed "Stars for Kerry" concert is going on tonight. Might be a good FReep possibility if folks are available.
The one person who's there already is a lone Vietnam Veteran with a few protest signs and a bible. He's associated with the Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry website.
There's a crowd of mostly female NY libs milling around the Radio City so he was happy to speak to someone with words of encouragement. I'll probably stop down again after work today.
Anyone working in midtown might want to pop out and say hello. He knows of FreeRepublic but hasn't visited. I encouraged him to do so.
The concert at Radio City tonight will feature the Dave Matthews Band, Mary J. Blige, John Mellencamp, Jon Bon Jovi, Wyclef Jean, Whoopi Goldberg and others.
Here are some previous threads on these concerts:

Meanwhile, across the river at Six Flags in New Jersey, Sean Hannity hosted the Freedom Concert 2004. Ted Nugent, who just came back from Iraq, played The Star Spangled Banner. He gave Sean a guitar signed by himself, Toby Kieth, Soldiers in Iraq, among others, to raffle off.
New York Mike rode a Harley all the way from San Diego to attend, and gave Sean the Harley to raffle off.
Darryl Worley and Martina McBride were the headliners. They had American Soldiers who had been wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan that were wildly cheered.
Danny Aiello came and performed. Zell Miller called in. President Bush spoke to Ted Nugent and Nugent is going on tour with him. President Bush also called in a message to all the Patriots who came from all over the country.
The whole thing was for Oliver North's Foundation for the Children of Fallen Heroes of this war, and they raised over Two Million Dollars before the concert was even held. The money goes for nothing else and no one else except to pay college tuition for the kids who lost a parent.
No one was paid to perform. It was one of the most glorious showings of Gratitude to our beloved Military, and an outstanding, even gutwrenching, show of LOVE for this country I have ever seen.
Oliver North is back in Iraq. How many times is this? The gang JK-off at Radio City glittered, but the GOLD was on stage and in Six Flags, and when Darryl Worley sang "Do You Remember," well.....
G-d Bless America

kerry is a disgrace to anyone who has ever worn the Uniform of this great country. He certainly is no brother of mine.

Thanks for giving the Vet a pat on the back..Be sure he knows about the Winter Soldier.com site,too..It will give him a lift to know how many others join in his disgust of Kerry..and have it documented about who he is.

God bless this brave man, first for fighting for our country, and now for standing up against the man who could potentially destroy it.
I just heard a brief report of this disgusting display of egos involved in this "concert".
If it was physically possible to kick myself in the behind, I would do it right now. I actually paid good money several years back to line the pockets of John COUGAR (Mr. Sellout) as well as Jon Bon Jovi, by going to their concerts and buying their tapes.
I am now much more selective in how I spend my entertainment dollars, and it will never again be on these losers.
By the way, good analysis of the players in this fiasco.

I listened to some of the concert on Sean's website before I went to bed last night. I implore FoxNews to broadcast a replay of this!
These entertainers, who chose to support our great country instead of disparage it, will get my hard earned dollars!

It bothers me DMB is such a freak. I have always liked Dave. I have seen him in concert a few times, but after this, I guess I wont be anymore..

These "anybody but Bush" people are BIGOTS.
This is bigotry: obstinate and unreasoning attachment to one's own opinion and beliefs, with intolerance of opinions opposed to them. A bigot is obstinately and irrationally, often intolerantly, devoted to his own church, party, belief, or opinion - a hypocrite, especially a superstitious one.
Call them what they are.

I can't believe there is no audio or video available on any "alternate" (kazaa, the web, etc) distribution.
The media has locked teh lid tight on this.
Not one shot of whoopie grabbing her crotch or waiving her champaing bottle with kerry nodding with approval in the back.
common, this is 2004 not 1979.
To: longtermmemmory
There has to be at least an audio of this. If nothing else, even a cell phone call. I have no doubts it is out there. The Kerry campaign will either come clean, or a sleazy tabloid will put it out there. If a tabloid doesn't come out with this, we are in way worse trouble with truth in the media than we ever imagined.
