It's Gephardt
Just got some scuttlebutt, top Gephardt aide Joyce Aboussie has been sent a private plane to join Dick Gephardt for....one can only assume the announcement that Dick Gephardt will be the next Vice President Nominee for the Democratic Party.
UPDATE: If Aboussie is being flown out and ordering staff to be ready for a change, it's hard to imagine that it is anything, but gearing up for an announcement that he is the VP nominee. He and Aboussie are incredibly close and she is his right hand. Unless this is a bit of disinformation, this is the real deal.

I've said on other threads that there are no squatters on the KerryVilsack domain names. That suggests something. I'm convinced it's one of the three that was mentioned. No surprise makes any sense. Vilsack is a good choice because he's a tabula rasa.

I'll believe it when I hear it straight from the horse's mouth. Why doesn't anyone from the media just ask him? "Bill, who did you pick for Kerry's Second?"

BREAKING -- John Kerry served in Vietnam. According to something posted earlier he served for 2 combat tours according to McAuliffe. Dems and lying are like water and wet.

I live in Florissant. Everyday I drive by a house that has a sign that says "Regime Change begins at Home, Vote Bush-Cheney Out!" I know the exact house your talking about. On Lindsey Lane. What happened to that guys grass a couple of months ago? All of a sudden this front yard grass went dead and he had it re-sodded. Maybe a bunch of republicans sneaked over one night and urinated on his lawn.
Thats the only anti-Bush yard sign I've seen around here so I wouldn't worry to much.
To: AmishDude
It makes good sense, until he is exposed as a Dan Quayle type. Too risky, and all for what payoff? Securing Iowa?

Can't be Dick! because I already read another thread that said it was Edwards. And everyone knows Freepers are never wrong.
To: Torie
Maybe. The 'Rat primary for the seat is fun to watch, might turn into a bit of a bloodbath along the Holden-McCaskill faultline. Handily? Hmm, I might take a piece of that action, depending on who the 'Rat candidate turns out to be. Enz is running for State Senate this time around (and she'll win in a canter), so the best candidate isn't available (and, brother, is she sore at the local party bigwigs!) nor is it clear if Akin's people will sit on their hands as they did in 2002. If they do, ''handily'' is likely operative, if not, it's too close to wager on at this point. Too many ''ifs'' still on the board.
Have it your own way about Eyebrows' retirement; I daresay talking to a few of the local pols around here would change your mind straightaway.

probably a misdirection play.
I'd be amazed if it is Geppie, but Geppie might help in certain targeted states.
Darn, I want to know so bad.

Come to think of it, how bout Terry McAuliffe or Dick Mullholland of California as VP? They both are used to going on the attack, and love doing it.

Gephardt's district is going to elect another Dem, and comfortably.Your probably right but its going to be the most competitive district in Missouri.
To: Flyer
Imaginary friends! I'm sure Rush will pull out all the stories he did on Gephardt over the years. Some of the stories are really funny.
