NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Charities could be among the biggest winners from the box-office success of the anti-Bush documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11," according to a published report.
The Wall Street Journal reported that about 60 percent of the net profit ultimately generated by the film could go to charities yet to be identified by Walt Disney Co.

I wonder what kind of "charities" all this money will be given to?
Anything NARAL and Planned Parenthood don't grab up, I'm sure will be given to Islamic Uplift causes.
MoveOn, Sierra Club, GLAAD, Planned Parenthood, ad naseum.
I donated to President Bush and Free Republic. So I guess it's true.
Last week people were saying the movie was dead after last weekend...umm...it is now at 55 million and that is not counting today...box office mojo saying the film will be at 60 million by the end of the day today.
Support funds for the families of victims of 9/11. He may be fat, ugly, stupid, deceitful, racist, and liberal, but he still does his best to keep a good image and fulfil those qualities at the same time.
The article makes sound like Disney gets to decide, not Moore. But it isn't very clear.
Any charity that accepts donations from the proceeds of the showing of "Fahrenheit 9/11" is immediately suspect, in that they are not a real charity, but a front organization for the subversion and undermining of America.
Michael Moore, American Hatriot, probably has a stipulation to that effect.
You nailed it. A few weeks ago, the TV game show "Jeopardy" had what they called "power players" week where contestants like Bob Woodward competed with the winnings going to charity.
Woodward's chosen charity was the swanky Washington private school known as Sidwell Friends.
The WSJ reported that disney gets to decide. This was set up when disney did not want to distribute the film. The Weinstein bro's then bought the film from disney, but the deal was they could only profit from the film as if Disney/Miramax had been distributing it. That limits them to 40%. So the other 60% are given away by Disney.
Don't forget NAMBLA... groan.
And what big tax rightoff is Disney going to get?
That's what I thought, but who will Disney give it to? That is still the question.
