Speaks for itself, huh? SM made more in one mid-week day that F-911 made in it's entire week! Bye-Bye MM!

BWAAAHAHAHAAA!

Of course, they'll blame it on Moore not getting it into as many screens as he wanted.

And Spiderman-2 is a documentary about the lives of spiders that, umm, turned into men, umm yeah. About as close to a documentary as F911...

Not to be a downer but did you guys notice how many more screens Spiderman is showing than F911. I wonder what the average per screen was for opening day for F911. Either way, Spiderman will obviously make lots more and be popular longer.

Is there any reason to wonder why F9-11 opened with essentially no competition?

Nice showing by Spidey, but F911 seems to have some legs there. Impressive I say. I think the estimates here of $50-60Million are about right.

Any freeper reviews of Spiderman 2?

And SM-2 is as fact-based as F-9/11, too...

to be fair, though, its the 8th day for f911 compared to 1st day, and only.25 of the screens nationwide. Give Spiderman some time thoug, and it will trounce f911 and MM will be a sidenote in summer blockbuster popularity

Look F911 was nothing more than a sermon for the Chior.. the hard core leftists will go to see it... but that's it. It had its opening spike, and now it will trail off slowly into irrellevance...

Geobels would be proud of MM.... never let it be said that facts have ever gotten in the way of a leftist cause.

Not to rain on anyone's parade here, but these movies aren't really in the same category. Not even radical leftists expected F-911 to compete with Spiderman 2 at the box office.

On another note though, Spiderman 2 made almost 40 million on a Wednesday? Was that a record for a Wednesday opening? Seems huge!

We virtually never go out to see a movie and don't subscribe to any of the premium services either. Just no good ones to watch. I saw Spiderman when we got three months free by switching to dish network.

I was surprised how good it was. It hit the balance just about right between action and good story line. According to the reviews Spiderman II is even better. May just break down and go see it.

I went with four of my grandkids to see Spiderman II yesterday. I also follow both "boxofficemojo.com & boxofficeguru.com". Do you know that Spiderman II is the biggest Wednesday opening ever? I suspect Spidey II will gross over $160m for the Wednesday through Monday time frame. As for F-911, its revenue has been dropping every day since it's release, and I suspect it's got about two or three weeks more of life before it drops into the black hole of obscurity forever. As I corrected stated before the film was released, it will make Mr. Moore a very rich man, but it will have little or no impact on the upcoming election. Only the idiot "America haters" are going to see the film, and they can't keep it's legs up for long!!! All they ended doing was to line the pockets of Michael Moore and Harvey Weinstein! Take my word for it, the "summer of Bill Clinton" and the movie "F-911" are going nowhere, no matter what the mainstream media says or does! By the way, does anyone remember the great "environmental Impact" of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow"! Like Al Gore, it is dead and buried!

Don't shoot me but the old slob took about a 15 million dollar budget (and marketing) and parlayed that into 35M the first week.

One could do worse.

A) lots of diehard lefties here, they are organized to buy tickets and the media has done thier part.

B) shame we can't do the same although the media collusion would be hard
