Not to be a downer but did you guys notice how many more screens Spiderman is showing than F911. I wonder what the average per screen was for opening day for F911. Either way, Spiderman will obviously make lots more and be popular longer.
F911 was showing on the same number of screens Friday-Wednesday, but each day's sales has declined from prior. THAT is the key stat.
F911 per screen opening was $9868, more than the $9297 for Spiderman. But ya know, that "per screen" thing only goes so far, it is not a full picture of the actual demand. F911 obviously could have supported more screens, I doubt, however, anywhere near as many as Spiderman.
It's BEST day was $9,868, and that was on a Friday (the 2 New York only days don't count, as the highest theater count was 8).
Consider the audience demographics in different areas of the country.
F911 will be shown on several screens in cities with a large left-wing population but it will not even be featured in cities where the theater owners would expect very few customers.
