Hillary Clinton: "We're Going to Take Things Away From You on Behalf of the Common Good"

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-Cuba), speaking at a Democratic party fundraiser in San Francisco yesterday, was remarkably frank about the Democrats' intentions to use socialist redistribution policies if the party gains power after the November elections.

As reported by the Associated Press, Sen. Clinton said, "Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

With her blunt statement, Sen. Clinton has drawn clear the difference between the two major parties: The Marxist Democratic party will "take things away from you on behalf of the common good" while the Republicans will defend your right to spend your money as you see fit because they know it's your money, not the government's.

Remember this during the long slog to the elections this year. The choice is clear: Marxism or freedom. Vote wisely.

What would be more egregious than an income tax? Granted, I'm in the middle of an audit, so I'm kinda sensitive right now.

Only a democrat could have proposed a "millionares tax" and include those who make less than 1 million.

Truth be known (and this is a guess on my part) there are probably more people in the 500K - 1 mil range than above 1 mil ...

I saw this. It's enough to gag a maggot. The only thing to be happy for is that she can't hide any more. The entire nation know what a witch she is.

I celebrate the day I moved out of NJ. My house there was 6x bigger than the house I have here in PA, but the taxes were 20x higher. I pay less than $500 here; ten years ago I was paying $10K over there.

While we're at it, the crime rate was way, way more than 20x higher than here. No comparison.

Can't sprint over to Manhattan any hour I feel like it. Can't smell the ocean. *sigh* Oh, well...

Huh? The American Himalayan Foundation??? Willie, have you sucked so much speech money out of the world that you're relegated to these third rate venues??

What's next? The Chappaqua school crossing guard bake sale??

OOPS! I think she just messed up big time. We tend to vote with our "pocketbooks" Who was the candidate that said he was going to be honest, and that he would raise taxes if elected? They have to lie to us, to win :')

Folks, this story and the link to the San Francisco newspaper article needs to saved by everyone and passed on via email, regular mail, phone callls, conversation, carrier pigeon, and whatever else it takes to alert our nation. The Democrats have admitted in public in an election year, that they plan on praqcticing Marxist socialism taking money away from those who earn money and give it to others.

If elected, the Democrats will raise taxes. Pass it on.

Yeah kristinn, but tell em' to quit talking and DO something about it! They have the majorities in both houses and I can't see much improvement. But I'll vote for them anyway because I would rather vote Republican than Satan himself.......in the guise of the Demonrats.

Only a democrat could have proposed a "millionares tax" and include those who make less than 1 million.

It kicked in at $250,000. Algore explained it this way.

"If you make $250,000 four years in a row, your a millionaire." --Algore

The Himalayan Foundation caught my attention too. It's funny isn't it, how Clinton roams the earth looking for do-goodie projects. Da man wants his Nobel Peace Prize, by golly!!

When I looked THF up, guess what? It's connected to Sir Edmund Hillary's organization. Just like Clinton isn't it, to brazen out what would embarrass other people.

Maybe so but the rich still get soaked. Just look at the stats on how much of the total tax bill the top 1% pay. The problem is not who's getting soaked - we're all getting soaked. The level of taxation is the problem not the distribution. The dems won't touch that. They will just rabble rouse and stir up emotions. We need an unemotional flat tax.

Liberalism in Democrat politics always pursues big government quasi-socialist ideals. No surprise here.

Oh, then that explains it. Mrs Rodham probably asked Willard to speak to her daughter's namesake organization!
